"Why.....why would this happen?" She manages out between tears.
I encase her in my arms, letting her cry on my shoulder.
"I don't know Katelyn.....I'm sorry" I assure, running my hand through her powder blue hair.
We release, our eyes meeting.
The air is still, yet bursting.
My hand raises to her cheek, making her smile.
My heart races a hundred miles an hour
I brush away a lone strand of hair covering her face, revealing her face.
Her face, her hair, her eyes.
What I would do to just gaze into those eyes forever.
I lean in, my lips meeting hers.
She grabs the back of my neck, pulling me closer.
I love you Katelyn Firefist, more than words can say.
