I stay downstairs as I hear Lauren and Geo exchange voices. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Oh..uhh, hey Clarissa. I don't know you were going to be here" Geo says as he reaches the bottom stair.
"Yeah, well I'm here" I smile.
"I forgot my phone charger on Saturday. So Imma just grab that and I'll be going."
"You can't hang for a while?" Lauren says.
"Nah, I have homework to catch up on"
"Ha. Since when do you do your homework?" Lauren asks while jokingly throwing a pillow at him.
"Hmm. Good question" He throws the pillow back at her.
"I guess it won't hurt if I stay for an hour" He says. I sit up with my legs extended across the couch.
"Yo, move your legs" he says jokingly and sits down when I move them closer to my chest.
We talk and talk. I realize that Geo and Lauren have a friendship that would take a few years develop. It started to get late so I decided leave Lauren's house and head home.
