Earth.
What a wonderful place it used to be. It harbored life for millions of years, naturally selecting which animals could call its lands home. Then came a species unlike any other. Humankind. Things weren't so bad in the beginning of the humans existence on the planet, but things changed rather quickly. Once they had developed technology, they began to steal the earth's resources, using it as their own. Pollution took hold and slowly began to make the planet uninhabitable. They thought they could right their wrong by changing their ways, but it was far to late, the world could no longer take care of them. So the civilizations came to a conclusion that it was time to leave the world they once called home. They built huge ships that could carry millions of individuals, including animals. They departed from the decaying planet and travelled deeper into the Milky Way galaxy, in search for a new home. Unfortunately, some colony ships did not make it to its final destination.
