After finally getting signed, I couldn't wait to get in the studio and I finally am. I have two songs already done and I'm ready to record the video for one of them. There's multiple studios in my dad's building so I booked a session in one. I could have just used the studio in my basement but my dad thought it would be more professional.

I'm currently in the studio with my record producer Kuk Harrell. He co-wrote "Umbrella" and "We Found Love" for Rihanna. And he helped my mom make "Single Ladies". I'm about record the interlude to my album that has no name yet.

My dad, A few of his friends/business partners, and Kuk are with me in the studio. We had just gone through the beat and matched it with the song. I got in the booth and put the large earmuffs around my neck.

"In a second, your just going to hear the beat in your ears. It's gonna be loud so prepare yourself" Dad says.

"This isn't my first time in a booth" I say.

"Four, just sing the damn song" he says.

I roll my eyes and put on the headphones. Kuk looks up at me and gives the signal. The track begins and I start to sing.

Now if I wrote you a love note
And made you sign up every word I wrote
(What would you do?)
Would that make you want to change your scene
And want to be the one on my team?
(Tell me would you?)

Because I could see us holding hands
Walking on the beach, our clothes in the sand
I could see us on the countryside
Sittin' on the grass layin' side by side

You could be my baby
When I look at you baby
Boy, you amaze me
Ain't gotta do nothin' crazy
See all I want you to do is be

My love, so don't give away
My love, so don't give away
My love, so don't give away
Ain't another boy that can take your spot

My love, so don't give away
My love, so don't give away
My love, so don't give away
Ain't another boy that can take your spot

My love, love,
My love, my love

The track slowly fades out. I take off the ear muffs and look up from the paper. Everyone in the room is staring at me looking shocked. Even my dad's friends and the room assistants who bring food and drinks.

"Stop looking at me like that" I say into the mic.

Dad scratches his head and opens his mouth but closes.

"Can we go to the next one?" I ask.

Kuk nods and we go to the next track. It's called "Ride of Your Life". I had already recorded the song at the studio in my house. My dad wanted to listen to it and make sure it sounds good.

"I want to re do that part" I say at a certain part in the song.

Kuk rewinds the track and listens to verses. He rewinds it again and erases the part. He rewinds it one last time and gives me a few seconds to catch up.
