It was a dark, stormy day. A dark figure walked through the empty streets, drenched from head to toe. It was freezing cold but they didn't seemed to mind because the coldness of the environment couldn't compare to the coldness from within. She felt numb. Numb all over. Her painted red lips quivered. Tears painfully kept within the barrier. He had cheated on her. Her world crashed. The boy she gave everything to threw everything away in a blink of an eye. The worst part of it all was he meant it. He meant to kiss that girl. He meant to fuck her. He meant for her to see the two of them. He meant it all.
Tears finally streamed down her face. She looked down at the expensive piece of jewelry wrapped around her finger. The fourth finger of her left hand. Clutching the hand to her chest, the tears endlessly streamed down her cheek dripping to the already wet concrete.
It felt like hours, she made it home at last. Well, not the home she lived in at that moment. A petite woman walked into the living room.
"Omo! Why are you here?!" The woman exclaimed.
"He cheated on me Mom," she whispered.
The woman looked at her daughter with pity before wrapping her into a tight hug.
"Get changed, we haven't done anything to your room since you left," the woman whispered to the girl, "I'll make some tea for you."
The girl was released from the embrace, and she heading down the familiar hallways until she reached a very familiar door. She twisted the knob and entered. She walked into the bathroom and stripped from her soaked clothing. She turned the water if the shower on. The warmth of the water helped ease her a little. She stood there for what has seemed a decade. She exited with a fluffy towel wrapped around her. She entered the room she had stayed in for years and years.
Creamy white walls surrounded her. Black furniture decorated the white room. Black and white. Mortal opposites, yet they go so well with each other. That's what they all said to her about her and who she thought was the love of her life.
She pulled out the first articles of clothing she saw from her closet. She slipped the clothes on and exited her room back out into the large living room. Her mother smiled at her and urged her to sit by her on the couch. Her mother handed her a cup of tea and they chatted. The chatted the night away until the girl fell asleep on her mother's lap.
The next morning, the young female tidied up and headed back out to the place she came from the night before. She unlocked the door and walked in. She walked past the messy living room, past the spotless kitchen, passed by one, two, three doors and opened the last one on the left. She grabbed a little black box and slipped the ring off her finger. She placed the box on the white nightstand. She grabbed a few suitcases from the closet. She emptied over half the closet. She topped off the packed suitcase with the studded ring in the simple black box on top. She then dragged the suitcases out of the apartment. She placed the four cases neatly by the elevator before walking back into the apartment.
She walked to the only room whose door was shut. She opened it. A slender but fit body and a skinny figure can be seen. The two people looked up, shocked. The two scrambled to put on clothing. The man, with wide eyes, gasped and started to approach the young female. Every step he took, she took one back. This continued until they reached the living room. No words were exchanged."K-," the young man started.
"Get out," the female said.
"What?" The man questioned with wide eyes.
"You heard me. Get out."
He man stood as still as a rock. The skinny girl that was hidden behind the man scurried out the front door.
"Get out. Follow her and get out."
"Liste-,"
"No, you listen, get the fuck out," she female growled.
"Wait, let me explain," the slender man said, arms reaching out to the girl."I DON'T WANT YOUR FUCKING EXCUSES. WHAT I HEARD AND WHAT I SAW WAS ALREADY ENOUGH. GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY APARTMENT!" she yelled.
He man yanked the girl to his embrace. "NO LISTEN TO ME!" he yelled back.
"I'VE HEARD ENOUGH! GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT!"
She pulled out out his embraced and started to shove him toward the door. Tears bursts from her eyes.
"I'VE TRUSTED AND LOVED YOU SO MUCH! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!" she screamed out at him.
"Let me explain," he kept repeating.
Tears never stopped as she finally shoved him out the door.
"No, let us talk," he said but was cut off by the door slamming.
"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!" she yelled locking the door and sliding down bawling her eyes out. She choked on her sobs.
"I loved you so much, so so much," she choked out to no one as the male already walked away.
She sobbed and sobbed.
