Chapter 3

Manako P.O.V.

It has been a week since I moved in, and so far it's been fun. Benny is really nice, we go out every once in a while to see the island. Oh and I got word that his friend, the Humatrix person, his friend on a site called wattpad is hosting my friend Tio. It's nice to know she's in good hands.

Also his little sister always sleeps here on occasion, and she never talks much.

He said that she's a little anti social, but she means well. I can understand, "so what do you want to do today Benny?" I asked him. "Not sure, can't think of anything" he replied.

His little sister then came out, she was holding a slip of paper "big brother" she said. Benny looked to her, "yes Lily?" He asked, "mom and Dad are going off island for a while, they wanted me to give you this form assigning you as my legal guardian" she said.

"Oh really? Business trip?" He asked, she nodded "so will you sign it" Lily asked. Her full first name is actually Elizabeth but she thinks it sounds too snobby. "Sure" Benny then signed the papers, I was about to eat an apple fritter we got at the bakery earlier when Benny's door swung open and I heard cheerfully loud voices.

Which made me lurch forward, "HI BENNY MY SON" a male voice say. "Hey sweetie, so anyway me and your father were..." a female voice said. "Mom dad Lily already told me, I signed the papers already" Benny told them. "Oh really okay then, just come with us so we can get it official" his mother said.

"Okay but first" Benny then helped me up after I fell, "ow that hurt" I said rubbing my face. "Mom dad remember when I joined the inter species exchange?" He asked. I looked at them and they nodded, "well this is my exchange, her name is Manako".

The two parents then rushed towards me "hello there Mana chan, I hope our son is taking good care of you" his father said. "Uh yeah he is" I replied awkwardly chuckling, "so what kind of extra species are you?" His mother asked me. "Uh a monoeye, like a cyclops" I said, they saw my eye when my bangs were pulled away.

"Wow your eye is very pretty" his mother said, "yeah very, any way let's go son" his father said.

Benny P.O.V.

Me and my parents had walked outside and got in their car, they had talked animatedly "so how's it feel being a host Benny?" My mom asked me. Just for the record, my parents are really like this, cheerful, happy and are more than willing to meet new people and species.

"It's nice, Mana chan is really nice, and kinda nervous. Like me" I said blushing, I then heard a familiar giggle. My father had chuckled, "ooh, maybe she'll be more than a friend" he said.

I then turned bright red "MOM DAD CUT IT OUT IT ISN'T LIKE THAT!!" I yelled.

Manako P.O.V.

I decided to wash my face, on account that I accidentally got my apple fritter smashed on me when I fell. "Man, and right in front of their parents" I said washing my face off. I then walked out my face clean, I had spotted Lily sitting to the living room.

I went up to her and spoke, "hi Lily" I said she flinched and spun around. "AAAHAHH!!!" She screamed falling back, "eeeep!! Sorry did I scare you" I said trying to help her up. She got back up and faced me shivering "a... a little..." she said.
