Chapter 14

Amelia's POV

The hospital room I am in is tiny. Literally, all that is in there is a small bed, chair. and one of those wheeling tables.

The doctors told me that I had an allergic reaction to some fancy ingredient that was on the sub.

I heard the door open and Brent walked in holding a bag of Chickfila. Ofcourse, every hospital has a Chickfila.

His eyes met mine and immediately lit up.

"Oh my gosh. I didn't know how you would be." He came up and tried to give me a hug,but the rails on the bed wouldn't allow it.

"Er, sorry for the scare. So what exactaly happened?" I kind of want to know but I am just so scared.

"Well. We were about to have sex and then you just passed out. It was the scariest thing I had ever experienced. Thank God the 911 lady guided me through it." We were about to have sex? The last thing I remember is scarfing down my gelato.

"Oh. Sorry to ruin your night." I look into his deep brown eyes.

"Oh not just my night, my morning too." He had a serious expression on his face, but it cracked after a few second stare. I love his sense of humor.

"So when do I get out of here" I ask and a worried look crosses over his face.

"Yeah, um..." God why can't he just finish his sentences?

"WHAT?!" I'm officially concerned.

"Well you need a parent to sign a release." Oh shit.

"Okay can you give me a minute?" He nodded and with that he left the room.

I quickly called my best friend in the whole world.

"Hey Kate. It's me."

"Hey girl! What's up?" She chirped into the phone.

"I need you to come to a hospital."

"Oh my God! What happened?" She screeched into the phone. Her tone was now filled with pure concern.

"I'll text you the address and the details. But for now get in your car and head towards the beach."
