It's been two years since Gonta and Korekiyo were together. Korekiyo could still remember the day they first met. Both young boys at preschool, the boy with glasses asking him if anyone sat with him. And thus his inner shell was broken.
Korekiyo had planned something special for their second anniversary. He was nervous, but could barely wait to do it.
Gonta was sound asleep, waiting for his boyfriend to come home from work.
Korekiyo made it back, quietly. He didn't want Gonta to walk in, after setting up as quietly as possible, he put the small box in his pocket. He went upstairs, and lied beside his boyfriend as a surprise.
Gonta shifted." Korekiyo....would you like to have kids someday ?"he asked. The entomologist was talking in his sleep, dreaming about a future with his boyfriend. He left out quite snores.
Korekiyo giggled and kissed Gonta on the lips." I'd like to have children with you someday~."
Korekiyo never bothered with wearing his usual mouth guard. Gonta loved him more with out it.
Gonta's eyes fluttered open and he jumped." K-Korekiyo !"
Korekiyo chuckled and got up, " Hello sleepy head~." He teased.
Gonta blushed and sulked." Hello"
" I heard you talking in your sleep again~."
" Huh ?". It took a couple of seconds to remember what he said." Well...about that I um...I-I"
" It's alright, besides, there's something I made down stairs, and no, not dinner." Korekiyo wasn't good at cooking, " But it's better~."
" Really ? What is it ?"
" Thank goodness it's not food. Last time you tried to cook you filled the kitchen with smoke"Gonta teased.
Korekiyo pouted." Don't remind me."
He grabbed Gonta's hand and lead him down to the living room.
" Korekiyo, what's the hurry ?"Gonta asked.
" You'll see."
Gonta just gave a nod, anxious to see what the surprise was.
Once downstairs, Korekiyo blindfolded him, leading him to the living room.
Gonta walked forward, almost tripping over the coffee table.
Korekiyo prevented him from tripping, and placed him in the couch. "Okay, you can remove it." Korekiyo said after placing the last origami piece down by the rose pedal. That origami figure he placed was the first gift Gonta gave to Shinguuji as a child. Gonta was somehow good at it, and it was the first thing that made their friendship grow, and build years later the relationship they are in today.
Gonta removed the blindfold and gasped." Is this...."Gonta began and picked up the origami crane with his hand. He thought Korekiyo would've gotten rid of it years ago.
" Indeed, I kept it all those years. It's very special to me, and it still is~." Korekiyo told him. The room was decorated with Korekiyo's crafts in which he made for this setting which explained why he lacked sleep, the room was also covered with some rose petals.
" This is beautiful. Why did you so all this ?"
Korekiyo got on one knee in front of Gonta.
Gonta eyes widened.' Is he going to-no it can't be !'Gonta thought.
Korekiyo pulled out the small box, " All these years, you've made my life complete. The day we met, I knew you were someone special. After spending almost half my life with you, from good and bad. I still remember the day you confessed your love for me~."
" Of course I can't forget they day we moved in together~."
Gonta began to tear up.
" I think now is the time to ask you," Korekiyo opened the box revealing the ring," Gonta Gokuhara, will you marry me~?"
Gonta was now crying." Yes I will !"
Korekiyo now started to tear up with joy. He held Gonta's hand and gently place the ring on his ring finger.
Gonta grabbed Korekiyo and hugged him tightly." I love you so much. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you"
Korekiyo hugged him back," I love you too. I can't wait as well, my love~."
Gonta smiled, forgetting what he was talking about in his sleep.
" Didn't you also say you wanted to have children~?" Korekiyo smiled as he kissed his forehead, he wanted to have kids in the future with Gonta as well.
Gonta's face turned red." Oh, I forgot about that"
Korekiyo giggled, " It's alright, because when we do get married, I'd like raising a family with you~."
Gonta kissed his fiance's lips." I'm so lucky to have you"
Korekiyo kissed his fiancé back, " I'm lucky that you stayed with me all these years"
" You're the most beautiful man to exist. How could I not ?"
Korekiyo smiled and wrapped his arms around Gonta's neck," Not as beautiful as you~"
" Don't compete with me~"
Korekiyo giggled and smiled.
Gonta carried Korekiyo bridal style to bed and cuddled him.
Korekiyo cuddled back, staying in Gonta's embrace for what felt like hours.
