Maybe it was the fact you were hiding for you're life that got you running- crawling- through vent shafts, or the adrenaline of being alone with Michael once more. Michael didn't stop holding you're ghost white hand as he slid through another vent with you in toe.
He stopped abruptly with a cry of pain as he clumsily smacked his face on the top of the vent. You kneeled down infront of him with a laugh, but quickly pulled him to his feet as you heard the pounding of metal on metal. You pushed him ahead of you in the vent and he shrieked when he saw a clown face on the other side. You pulled him back out, and continued to the elevator vent instead.
"Slow down!" He called, slipping on nothing and falling over in the rush he was in. The hatchway near him opened and he crawled over to you in fear. You couldn't help but zip through the vent with his hand in you're own as the abomination of cords and wires clambered after you.
"What is that thing?" You shrieked at Michael as you booked it towards the elevator. He panted as you slammed you're hand on the button, closing the elevator doors as a large thud came from the opposite side.
"I honestly have no idea." He gasped, his hand over his heart. You were quiet and he decided, "We should go back down there." You were in shock and he gave you a large grin. "I mean, when it's all clear."
You couldn't help but let a large smile crush you're deep frown. "Definitely!" You rested you're back on the elevator wall, waiting for the long ride up to the surface to end. There was a pause for a moment before a large ring echoed in the room, causing you to jump. Michael quickly apologized and pulled out his phone. Michael put his phone on speaker, sitting with crossed legs on the floor.
"Michael? Are you still at you're job?" Michael sighed, fidgeting with setting the phone in his lap before shooting;
"Father, my job takes up all night practically." You heard a large inhale and voice of what sounded exasperated,
"Well excuse me, I'm not young like you are..." Michael laughed slightly, looking at you as his father went on. "Michael, are you going to be there much longer? If not, could you stop by the grocery store and buy me some new glasses?"
"No father, I have a problem at work. I'll talk to you later." He ended the call with out giving the other man a chance to continue.
"I thought you said you didn't get along with you're father." You smirked jokingly, watching as his smile twitched for a second, before he let out a chuckle.
"I don't. It just doesn't seem like it." He shrugged, now looking at his surrounding as if to avoid you're sudden realization.
"You didn't tell me about you're father! You only told me about you're siblings!" You sprang up. He shrugged once more, sweat starting to crawl down his forehead.
"It's not important. I'll tell you later..." He quickly shot, shaking his head. You laughed, leaning onto his shoulder, he tensed and you quickly repositioned yourself.
"Anyways, we should wait up on the first floor in then come back in like, 20 minutes.." You suggested and he nodded. You both got up and leazurly walked to two plastic chairs. You sat down in a chair across from Michael and put you're head down. 'A few minutes of sleep won't hurt...' You thought.
