•Ash was a Fifteen year old boy, a normal boy. Well looking on the outside Ash was a normal boy, but on the inside the boy had more problems than a 40 year old man hitting his midlife crisis. It was a few days before Ash's sixteenth birthday when he hit his first of many metal breaks, but would you blame the kid with what he just saw?

Ash let his eyes flutter open to the sound of his dreadful alarm clock signaling to him that it was time to wake up, he sat up quickly hitting his alarm to look down at his grey shirt that now was a noticeable darker grey around his neck and under his armpits as he had just woken up from a nigh tare. The dreams had became normal to the boy, yet he was still scared of them; he feared them, constantly wondering if the dreams would become a reality. He scooted out of the bed and made his way to his dresser grabbing his clothes so he could begin his day; little did he know the day would began with something that would make him want to do nothing more but fall asleep and never wake up again.

The boy drew his shower and stepped in allowing the warm water to run down his body before he began to clean himself, making sure to get all the shampoo out of his hair a faint smile on his face as he stepped out to quickly dress himself not worrying about what he wore because the boy was on his spring break so he wouldn't return to school for a week; a relief to him as the beginning years of high school was already stressful to him.  Ash walked down the stairs a happy smile placed on his face before a look of terror came over him at the sound of his fathers loud voice echoing through his eardrums, he hated yelling as much as the next person but his fathers yelling shook him to his core. The boy stepped forward and into the kitchen not knowing he would soon regret his choices as he listened to his mother and father go at it.

"I don't know why it's such a big deal to you, it's a little bit of alcohol!" His father yelled at his mother a angry red look plastered across his face as his mother had her soft delicate look she always had on. "It's a big deal to me because you're a drunk, always coming home at late hours sleeping with other women! I want you out of this house and I want you to do it now!" The women yelled causing Ash to flinch watching his angry father stomp out of the room and into the door that lead to the garage, he heard his mothers faint sigh of annoyance as he stepped in and looked at his mother. "Is everything okay?" Ash trailed out his head leaning to the side. "No baby, it's not okay but it will b-" she was cut off at the sound of his fathers voice. "You want me to leave my own house?" His words slurred from the amount of alcohol in his system his eyes flashing a look not his mother nor Ash has ever saw before. "Leave the house I pay for? That I bought?"

Ash looked over at his father and down at his hand as he saw his pistol in his grip, his eyes grew wide as he stepped forward and spoke. "Dad what are you doi-." His father shoved him to the side causing the boy to lose his balance and fall onto the floor; his eyes looking over at his mother who had a terrified look on her face. "You don't tell me to leave MY house, I pay the rent you don't do shit!" He yelled causing the women to flinch as he pointed the gun shakily at the women causing her to began to panic tears welling in her eyes. "Honey, put the gun down ple-" the gun fired as Ash let out a loud scream call to his mother as her body hit the floor a instant death right before his eyes he saw his mother lying dead on the kitchen floor his father towered over them as he crawled over to his mother shaking her to wake her not believing what had just happened he began to scream and yell everything he could to his father. "WHY? WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?" He screamed and pleaded as he watched his father look into his eyes, the gun moving to his chin and the sound of the shot rang through his ears his father falling back onto the floor blood flowing from his head; Ash let his butt hit the floor as he looked down at his dead parents; his life and everything he loved ending before his eyes. •

Ash let his eyes opened suddenly a loud gasp falling from between his lips as he sat up quickly to look at the time; 3:32am it read he ran a hand through his now sweaty hair at the nightmare that flooded his mind at night; it kept him awake most nights as the memory of that morning haunted him for three years. Now 18 year old Ash didn't know what to do about these dreams because it was one of many that flooded his mind while he slept. His head aching he scooted out of bed with a slouch and made his way to the bathroom to grab his bottle of pills. "Another nightmare, I guess these aren't doing shit." He said with a sigh before he opened the cap and popped one into his mouth anyway; swallowing he put the bottle up and walked to his bedroom plopping down on the bed he stared up at the ceiling, thoughts running through his head as he spoke "another sleepless night won't hurt." He rolled his eyes before closing them allowing his thoughts to take over once again.
