It was New Year’s Eve, and three kittens had just been born to Sandra, a house-cat of Mountain View, California. The new mother of the trio had just layer down to rest with three small kittens sleeping soundly.

Sandra stretched as she layer down, her silver fur glistening in the bright moon of the New Year, and she could hear her family, two furless-ones who had recently moved into the small condo.

With dusty walls, and cobwebs plastered all over the ceiling the two room house may not have looked pleasing, but to Sandra it was just fine, for all she really needed was a nice warm surface to lay her head on with her family at her side.

“5…4…3…2…1…Happy New Year!” Sandra listened to the bright box count down, but just after that, she slipped into a deep, sound sleep.

The kittens she had just brought into the world slept soundly, but little did one of the them know that this day may of been one of the few days he would have of just pure quiet.
