(This story is in the POV of Keahi Levy, the main character in this story. It's kind of like PJO series, where all of the books was in Percy's POV.)
Look, being a demigod was the last thing on my to-do list. I mean, I had it all, a loving mother and stepfather, my little sister, Nani, and the beautiful view of Honolulu, Hawaii. But that all changed, for the good of humanity, of course. BUT! Percy told me to warn you guys. If you're reading this book because you think your a demigod, close this book immediately, believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth, and try to live a normal life. If you don't think you're a demigod, keep reading. BUT! If you feel something burning inside you, close this book immediately. Once you figure out, it's only a matter of time before they do too.
My name is Keahi Levy. I'm your typical 15 year old girl. Well... Not exactly. I'm a "troubled child" in the words of my parole officer. I've been expelled from school more years than I have been alive. I have tan skin, long curly hair, which I recently dyed royal blue without my mom's permission, and long, lanky arms and legs.
But, it was a morning like no other in the Levy household. It was the last day of school, and I was scheduled to go to a summer camp right after, which I thought was cruel. You get expelled from 3 schools in 3 months then you have to stay in New York for the whole summer. So, I packed my clothes for summer camp, took a shower, brushed my teeth, but on some clothes, but my messy hair in a bun, and ran downstairs for breakfast.
When I got in the kitchen, I saw Nani pouring cereal in an upside down bowl. But that's not the funny part. It took her 5 whole minutes to realize that she fucked up.
"Oops," She said tiredly.
"Goodmorning Nani," I said with a chuckle.
Nani is my 13 year old sister. She was a tall girl, to be in the 7th grade. She had tan skin, long noodle like legs and long curly hair, like mine, only the tips of hers was dyed purple.
"I envy your enthusiasm to start the day," She said back.
"Right," I said sarcastically. "Like I'm SO happy to be shipped off to summer camp as soon as school is out."
"Oh, right," She said remorsefully. "That's a bummer dude."
"No," A stern, but steady voice that could only be described as my mother said. "Not a bummer. You might like it!"
"No mom!" I yelled. "I'm not going to like it! I have to go to this STUPID summer camp, then after that? A stuffy military school! And I can't even bring my phone! IT'S LIKE I'M DISCONNECTED FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD!"
"I'm doing this for your own good!" My mom said, her voice shaking with fear. My mom never showed fear, like EVER. She once went on Fear Factor by herself, AND WON, but not one time did she show any sign of fear, so naturally, I was concerned.
"What do you mean?" I asked, with a hint of worry in my voice. I guess she heard it, so she took a deep breath, and pulled me into a hug.
"Nothing," She said quickly. "Just... know that I love you."
"Wow," Nani semi-yelled, now poring milk into the upside down bowl. "So it's like that now?"
"Like what?" My mom asked.
"So you don't loove me?" She said slurring her words. She picked up a spoon and tried to eat the cereal she poured in the bowl, but the cereal fell on the floor.
"WHERE IS MY CEREAL?!" She yelled. I laughed.
"Keahi you better not be fucking with me!"
"Language," My mom warned.
"No! Keahi's being a little bitch!" Nani yelled.
"WATCH YOUR MOUTH YOUNG LADY!" My mother boomed. Nani looked like she saw a ghost.
"Soooory," She murmured, still slurring her words.
"Now go!" My mom yelled. "There's the bus!"
Reluctantly, I grabbed my bag, and walked out the door to the bus stop, where the bus was waiting on me.
