Siblings (describe relationship): Keishin Ukai

Masami and her brother were very close, growing up side by side even though Keishin was 9 years older than her. When she was 10, her aunt and uncle in America took her away for a better chance at school, the 10 year old and 19 year old tried to keep in touch, but the time difference and their both constantly busy schedules they both fell apart. She still looks up to her brother and hopes that he is happily surprised once she comes back from America.

Grandparents (describe relationship): Ikkei Ukai

He taught her the basics of volleyball when she was young, but other than that she didn't know him very well.

Mother (describe relationship):

Masami's parents and her are not the closest since she left for america at a young age, but her and her mother kept in touch better than Keishin and Masami did.

Father (describe relationship):

Masami's mother was left by her husband just before Masami was born and they have not heard of him since.

Aunt and Uncle (describe relationships)

They were close to Masami and they brought her up very well in America. Her aunt was the person who got her into drawing and she has been doing it since, even after her aunt and uncle's tragic death on their way home after a date. They both had no kids but treated Masami as their own. Masami misses them very much.

Hair Color: She has short hair that stops below her ears, that she has parted heavily to the left side. Her hair color is really brown, but is currently dyed a magenta/purple from America. She will have to re-dye it back to her normal hair color before she starts to come to Karasuno though. She is trying to savor her precious dyed hair for as long as she can before she has to re-dye it back.

Distinguishing features: Her freckles and the tattoo on the left underside of her wrist.

How does he/she dress? By choice she dresses in a multi-colored flannel with black skinny jeans. She loves to wear over-the-top and interesting socks, but usually hides them under her jeans so you can't see them well, but will eagerly show them to you if you ask to see them. She HATES the Karasuno outfits due to the skirts.

Mannerisms:

When she is unhappy with something, say a drawing she is working on, she will often squirm in her chair if she is sitting or will twist her hips a little if she is standing.

When thinking she will stereotypically bite on her pencil/pen, and will often borrow a pencil and the person won't want it back due to the biting marks on the top of the pencil or pen.. She stops herself from biting her art supplies though.

She talks with her hands, even if she is carrying books and/or school supplies.

Habits: Biting pencils or pens, talking with her hands, dragging her heels while walking, and 'swearing like a fucking truck driver'.

Health: Since she has been playing volleyball with her grandpa since grade school and continued it while in America, she is in a pretty pristine shape. Her legs and arms aren't as skinny as she wishes they were due to the muscular body type she has had since she was a child, and her stomach is not as flat as she wishes it were.

Hobbies: Drawing, playing her flute, volleyball, and reading.

Favorite Sayings: "That's diddly-darn fan-fucking-tastic."

Speech patterns: Her voice is pretty damn loud, and she usually will slip swears into her speech whenever she deems it appropriate, (a.k.a. all the time).

Disabilities: None

Greatest flaw: Being too hard on herself (basically self confidence in general) and she has a habit of keeping a 'wall' up and keeping her emotions in, basically she has trouble letting people in.

Best quality: She is pretty charismatic, and can empathize with other people pretty easily. She wants to help as many people as she can, even if it means sacrificing herself for the sake of other people's happiness.

How does the character deal with anger? She will attempt to bottle it up, but if it gets too much she will seem to 'explode' and will take it out on someone who is either the cause of the anger, or just someone involved, which she often will feel horrible about afterward.

With sadness? She is very accustomed to bottling up sadness and will almost never ask for advice or anything, she thinks that she can deal with it on her own and/or she can just ignore it and it will go away.

With conflict? She will face it head-on and will recklessly get into a fight/conflict without thinking about it.
