Demnotix: Before The End. [FULL SERIES]

Part 1- Hikari's Story

[Dec 23- 11:34 AM- Year- Unknown Medival Time- Shrine Katsanu]

Hikari's POV-

"Sensei! Im done sweeping!" It was cold but it was work, there really wasn't anything else to do in the shrine beside study, read, and do chores mostly while Sensei Kuro goes out shopping either to decorate the shrine that stood for over 250 years. Sensei Kuro is pretty old, only age 98, I'm quite surprised he stayed alive for that long, he is a wise man, I'm pretty much the only one who stays here. Though it can get very lonely, of course, I am an anti-social person after all.

"Alright, Hikari. Can you guard the shrine today? I'll be out for a bit."

"Of course, Why guard it though?" 

"The goddess of time told me something were to come up, Your skills are magnificent when fighting, and I've trained you well. So if something does indeed come up, It's up to you to do something."

"Alright, Have a safe trip."

"I shall see you later then."

Now the shrine was left to me, I decided to read a few more books, they were boring since I've read them about 20 times. I just remembered that Lya was going to visit me today, probably help me out too, she was the only friend I've ever had but she left the shrine about a year ago.

"Ri-Ri! I bought some more books that you might like!" 

"Thanks, Ly, But you need to get dressed into the outfit."

"Oh, right, sorry I was in a rush because you have a cold right?"

"A small cold, you didn't have to rush here anyways, I'm done with all the chores so probably we could just stay here and watch over the shrine."

I stared into the cloudy sky, then it began to snow. White snow. Not red but white. Not red from the scars and scratches from 10 years ago, but a gentle white.

"Helooooooo? HIKARI!" Lya smacked me in the back of the head.

"OW! WHAT?!" I say rubbing the back of my head.

"You were dozing off, It's snowing now, we should probably get inside before it really comes down." Lya says while getting up from the cold stone stairs and stretching.

"You're right, Hot chocolate or tea?"

"Pfft, You know I love Hot chocolate Ri-Ri."

"Alright, Lets go." I say getting up and walking to the shrine with Lya.

[Dec 23- 4:56 PM]

"Jeez, do you guys still have a heater? It's still cold even though we're under this Kotatsu."

"The heater is still broken" I say casually while sipping the Hot chocolate.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?! YOU GUYS HAVEN'T FIXED IT SINCE I LEFT?!" 

"No, we didn't have the money to repair it so, he's probably out to buy a fireplace."

"Damn, you guys must be cold."

"Not really, I feel very warm in the cold, It never bothered me."

"How? You're one weird woman Ri-Ri"

"Wow, Nice compliment. How long will you be staying?"

"I'll be here until 9, I've got to head out with my family to visit my grandparents that smell like pure Wine."

"They smell like wine."

"Sure do, can smell all the ingredients within a 1-mile radius."

"They sure do make a lot of wine then."

"And drink it, I can get you a couple of bottles for free."

"I don't drink, thanks though."

"Oh my god Ri-Ri, You're boring."

"Yeah, thanks again for the compliment."

"Will you ever get a boyfriend or even a husband?"

"Pffft, never, you know me, Ly, I am a very anti-social person."

"Alright Ri-Ri, suit yourself

We talked for a while and It was already nine.

"Oh crap! I have to go, I'll see you later Ri-Ri."

"Alright, goodbye Ly, Have a safe trip."

"You stay safe."

Ly was on her way back home, and I was just cleaning up for the night. Sensei wasn't home yet since he was making a visit, probably staying there for the night.
