I watched as he put jax in what looked like a dentist chair but strapped his chest and legs down. he gave him anesthesia and I watched as jax's grey eyes slowly shut. I felt bad but knew            mr. shire could help. or at least I thought he could. "kate come over here and help with this." he called. I walked over and looked at the table of small tools. I suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of my neck. i grew drowsy as i swung around to face the evil looking doctor.

"thank you for all your help dear, thanks to you i have two test subjects." he said in a voice that was just as creepy as his face. I was too tired to fight back, and eventually I drifted off.

I gazed at the two kids that sat unconscious as my mind swam. I didn't know what to do first. well I should probably isolate the girl first. I picked her up and carried her to the corner and stacked a few boxes up around her. I would fix it with some chicken wire and stray boards later. i turned to the ghost boy, only he wasn't there. i heard something clatter behind me and turned that way to see him scrambling through my tools. when he saw me staring he came to a dead stop.

jax POV

the man stared at me and i slipped a little scalpel into my pocket. either he didn't notice or he didn't care. we stared at each other daring the other to make a move. finally he lunged foreward and grabbed my arm. before i could even react he swung me around the table into the chair, knocking the air out of me. he locked my arm to the chair. he took several syringes from the metal tray on his desk.

kate POV

i heard a tray clatter and my eyes flew open. i looked toward the source of the sound and saw dr.shire. he had something shiny in his hand and it looked brownish green in the middle. it must be one of his experimental antiseptic chemicals or something. jax was cuffed to the chair and had a look of complete and utter loathing. i watched as shire instilled the syringe as an evil look shone in his pine eyes as misery passed through jax's steely ones. i couldn't stand to watch anymore and decided to bust through the boxes. standing with my back to the wall i shot toward the boxes and flopped to the floor. now that i think of it, there was probably some pretty heavy stuff in those boxes. bad idea...
