The strange noise piques your interest and you decide to investigate. You get a steady stance and you whip the bush back. It is a little monkey. You drop your guard and crouch down to pet it. When you stick your hand out, the monkey is threatened and bites it.
You jerk your hand back and the monkey squeals and jumps off. You hold your bleeding hand in your other hand and look for something to cover it up and stop the bleeding, for now.
You use a fern leaf to stop the bleeding, until you find something better to use.

You continue down the path, exhausted and hungry. No, starving. You desperately look for something good to eat. Nothing looks appealing or even edible, for that matter.
You hasten your pace to get out of this death trap. Fortunately, you come upon a little house. It is destroyed and abandoned, by the looks of it, it was attacked by a monster of this path.
The house looks like it was just destroyed and that monsters could still be there. On the other hand, something could be in there that you could eat.
