I wasn't expecting my alarm to go off so soon. I looked at the clock after rolling over with a grunt. 6:29. My alarm wasn't set to go off for another hour. I realized that it wasn't my alarm, it was a call. My phone was blaring "Facade" by Disturbed from accross the room. I thre the blankets off and ran to where I had my phone charging. The call was my landlord.

"Hello?" I asked, trying not to sound super tired.

"Anesea, do you remember when you asked me to help you find out what happened to your brother?"

"M'yeah... What about it?"

"Well he's been arrested for breaking into the Mayor's office and trying to find all of the archives on you."

"Wait, what?"

"He might need you to bail him out."

"I have to ask him why he was looking at archives on me... Thanks, I'm heading over to the town police station now. Thanks Mrs. Collins."

I put the phone down after the call ended and ran to my dresser. Throwing on the first thing I grabbed, I swore under my breath. Why didn't my brother just call me? I slipped on sneakers and my black hoodie, grabbed my phone and earbuds. I plugged them in, turned off my alarm, and turned on music as I started up the stairs. I left an earbud out in case the old man on the ground flat asked where I was going. I locked the door and turned around to see the old man stare at me.

"Where are you going, Young Woman?" He glared.

"Bale out my brother."

"What they get him for?" His left eye twitched.

"Breaking and entering." I cringed.

"To where?"

"I don't know," I lied. "He just called me."

"Ah, you carry on. Tell me what you know when you get back."

Why had he always want to know my life story? That was just fucking weird. I shook it off and left, forgetting to lock the front door.

I put my second earbud in and blasted whatever song was playing and jogged to the station. It was three blocks north, four blocks west. When I reached it, I turned the music off and called the Twin Moons.

"Hey, Becky, It's Anesea. I might need you to hold back for me. I had a family emergency. I'll make it up to you."

"Your mom get out??"

"No, my brother was arrested."

"You have a brother?"

"Yeah, we'll chat later. I gotta go."

The door moves aside for me and the cold air floods the area around me. I would never understand why police stations were always so cold. I walked in slowly. The man at the desk was on the phone. Disbatch wasn't easy, so I figured that I would wait for him to put it down. It was a suicide caller. I sighed and stood in the distance. I hadn't realized there was another person in the disbatch office until a woman asked me what she could do for me.

"I'm here for Chase Warren."

"And you are?"

"His sister."

"Ah, the reason he's here. He's been looking for you."

"He never called."

"Well, let's take you back to see him."

We walked down corridors of countless people trying to wistle at me or the officer. I stifled a giggle and the oficer looked back at me and smiled. We reached the cell they had my brother in and my heart jumped in my throat at the sight that assaulted my eyes.
