. . ...
"Lalisa Manoban" the emcee said and she went up of the stage, joy is painted on her face.
Today, she's not wearing any fancy clothes except for the cheap blue dress under her black toga. Yes, they're graduating.
The Dean handed her the diploma and she took it with her shaking hands. She looked on the audience and saw her family clapping for her. Even her grandmother is crying.
"congratulations Lalisa" the Dean whispered and she bowed to him.
"thank you Doctor" she said smiling sweetly.
Holding the Diploma in her hand, she
felt like she's now worth something. At least setting her standards higher is now a must. She took her first step down through the stairs and felt her legs wobble. Here we go again, this is why I hate high heels. She took another step down and managed not to trip. Two more steps to go.
She got down of the stage safe and sound. But the runway isn't over yet.
One of her ultimate crush is waiting for her at the end of the stairs, and now, she's looking at her with a smile on his face.
The great bookman. That's how she call him.
"congratulations Miss Manoban" he said making her smile.
"thank you Mr. Kim" she answered, and the most cliche thing happened to her. She managed to trip while standing and staring at this beautiful human, who has her hand, keeping her from tumbling any further.
"be careful Miss Manoban" he smiled and she blushed.
Suho, the rich-smart man who is in charge of the book store inside of their institution just held her hand. After four years of waiting, the two of them talked, not like the normal words you'd hear often from them.
The "how much is the Microbiology book?" or "can I have a pencil please" then there's "here's your change" and then "thank you". The talk is not like that anymore. It makes her heart skip a beat. Although she knows that Mr. Kim is married and has a daughter. Having a crush is not that bad anyway, she's not even planning to steal him away. Ruining a family for her happiness is a thing that she'll never do.
She went back to her seat smiling at the diploma in her hand.
"you enjoyed that don't you?" someone asked from behind her, whispering to her and she knows to who'm that voice belongs.
That beautiful voice.
She turned and smiled.
"what do you mean?" she asked Hyungwon who is crossing his arms in front of him looking at the other direction.
Not like before, Lalisa is doing her best not to feel anything for his guy anymore. Although she knows that this guy will always bother her. But no, she opened her eyes now. At least after this graduation shit she won't be seeing him anymore.
The ceremony ended and all of them went to see their parents. But not Lalisa, she's looking for her friends. Just well the hell are they?
Lalisa walked around in her killer high heels, it's not really that high, it's just three inches and she still can't walk. Well, she still trips on her sneakers, she's clumsy. That's it.
"Lalisa!" there's that voice again, this is hopeless.
She turned and put her fake smile on.
