Welcome to Storm Academy!

Hey everyone! Harumi here. This is my second ever book I am gonna write. Well, my writing is still very amateurish, so yes, pardon my mistakes. Well as the book title described, this book is gonna be about Guns, Swords and Magic! So now, lets start!

This world, as the year passes by, the technology caused by Magic improves, and as such, it is separated into three Major Faction: Gun Master(gun user), Magus(magic user) and lastly, Swordsmen(blade user).
In terms of power, each have its own advantage and disadvantage.

Magus who cast magic, have long casting time, and wait too long. But, when cast successfully, it can deal a serious damage. There are also scaled down magic that help the daily needs, such as movement magic, and spatial magic. Magus are considerably strong, since physical attack is unable to hurt them. But, it will be a different case if, the sword or bullet is enchanted and enhanced with magic.

As for Gun Master, there will be high offence power, fast attack time but, they are unable to deal with wide area damage(magic spell) or close combat.

Swordsmen will have both high defence and high offence. Their high offence come from their body, as the body determines how fast one can swing a sword. High defence, as they have fast reaction time. Like Gun Master, they are unable to deal with wide area damage. But, the major disadvantage they have is, that they have to get close to the target before attacking, but before he/she can do it, he/she would have been turn into Swiss Cheese or charred meat.

Now, what will our protagonist be? A Gun Master? A Magus? Or maybe a Swordsmen? Let us find out.

Kurogane Kaoru, a shut-in, just received a letter addressed to him. It was from the Storm Academy he have requested to enroll in.

"Finally, I am accepted into Storm Academy! This helps me to try and get out of this box I call home." Kaoru mumbled.

As mentioned, Kaoru is a shut-in, attempting to not be one. He have thought, it might be fun to make friends. So, he decided to enroll into the prestigious Storm Academy.

"Thank you for choosing us! We will make it the best experience for you in Storm Academy! Just go out to XXX store to purchase our school uniform. Please finished up packing what you need for your daily needs and your clothes before Monday! There will bus to bring you to our school at 8am! So that's it.
Best regards, Principal Kan." This is the content of the letter. It was a Saturday when you received your mail, so you decided to quickly pack up.

The next day, you went XXX store and purchased the school's uniform. It was light blue overcoat over white inside. You paid for it and left quickly.

While walking out, you knocked into a girl, who is also holding on a same package as you, the Storm Academy's uniform. She dropped her package and Kaoru panicked a bit. Kaoru looked at her, and his face went blank.

"I-I am so sorry. Are you okay? Here, let me help you." Kaoru said as he bended down, picked up her uniform, and passes it to her.

"Heh~. Fancy seeing another student here. Thanks anyways. My name is Enzou. Enzou Mira. Nice to meet you." She thanked Kaoru and introduced herself.

"I see. Y-you are welcome, Enzou-san! My name is Kurogane Kaoru, nice to meet you too." Kaoru replied immediately.

That day, Kaoru could not forget about Mira and decided to continue on his packing, before playing his game.

*ring*
Kaoru's alarm rang. He then realize, he had fell asleep while playing his game. He quickly change up, and touch up on his appearance: make his silver hair, his facial complex and of course, his body.

Taking his heavy load with him, (laptop and games ),with his daily needs out of his front door.

Looking at his watch, he realize he is 5 minutes early. He waited there, and the bus came. It was a bus that runs on magic power, and it was driven with care. Runs on four wheels, the black-red bus came and took him away. It was as fast as the wind, and he was brought to Storm Academy within minutes.

He stepped on the campus, and there is a guide and brought him to his dormitory room.

From here onwards I will be writing in Kaoru's POV

It was a big room, suited just for me. I thanked the guide, and I set up my room.

The guide urged me to quickly finish up and go with him. So I decided to do just that.

I followed him to the school. It was large, and he told me the entrance ceremony for new students is about to start.

I was ushered in very quickly and I found a seat to rest myself.

"We will now invite the top scorer for the entrance exam, Enzou Mira up on stage to present us a speech." The teacher invited Enzou Mira on to the stage.

I was shocked to see Enzou-san to be the top scorer. She does not look like one.

From the stage, she saw you and winked at you. Everyone was staring at you, they have noticed the wink targeted at you. Their eyes were green. Green with envy for knowing that beauty.

After the long, mundane ceremony, you are all asked for a test. A test for compatibility with magic, gun and blade.

I went to the blade compatibility test. I was asked to cut down a dummy, and embarrassing enough, I took about 60 slashes to cut down one dummy. I realize this: I am totally not cut for blade usage.

I then went to the gun compatibility test. And again, I was asked to shoot. There was a target for me to aim and shoot. Out of 20 shots, I missed 8 of them. Then I thought that I may be aiming to be a Gun Master.

Lastly, I went to the Magic compatibility test. It was quite simple. You have to dive into your subconscious and find a spell to use. You entered a space with no end. Any level of spell inside this infinite space will not affect the outside,so they say. I entered a trance, and I left myself inside for a while. When I exited the Trance state, I have found my spell.

"I have no use for this burning land. Bring upon judgement to them! Bring forth the freezing hell, Cocytus!" I shouted out the spell that have been formed in my head.

Within seconds, the area around me froze. It was a beautiful sight. The area that is frozen is constantly expanding. The icy blue colour, the landscape is truly indescribable.

Of course, able to pull this type of spell was no easy feat. When I got out, I heard my compatibility with magic was almost perfect.

"Ahhhh. So I am a Gun Master?" Your friend, Shiro said.

"Oh hey!! I am a Magus!!! Yesssss!!" I screamed in joy when I see my result. Seeing my own magic, I have decided that being a Magus fits me better then Gun Master or Swordsmen(which sadly, I can never become)

Because today is just a brief introduction to everyone, we were dismissed very quickly, after hearing the self-introduction.

I went to my class, and I saw Enzou Mira inside.

I decided to ignore and take a seat at the far back.

"Hi everyone. I am Kurogane Kaoru. Specialty is magic. Ice type. No other notable things. That's all." I briefly introduced myself.

"Boring~ I thought you may be a more interesting person. Oh well." Enzou Mira commented on your introduction.

"Let me introduce myself, I am the master of all three arts, I can choose to be a Gun Master, Swordsmen or I can also choose to be a Magus. And the name is Enzou Mira. And Kurogane Kaoru is it?I like you." Enzou introduced herself in a haughty way and confessed to me.

"EHHHHHHHHHHH!?!" The whole class said in unison.

"What am I suppose to say. I guess you are okay?" My immediate reply.
