THE CLOSET
Never expected that one day I would open my closet and find a whole new world my world I like to call it only I could see it but not understand it.
I told my best friend Kayla she couldn't see it though she thought it was cool you know to have special powers to see stuff others can't I thought it was weird I prefer to be like other kids but Kayla thought it was a special gift I was glad I told her and we swore to keep it a secret .
At exactly mid-night two weeks after I discovered the closet I heard my name "Jackson, Jackson, Jackson "I walked and the sound came from the closet I stuffed my bed with pillows so mom wouldn't notice I wanted to open the closet but I was scared I really wanted Kayla to be here I mean she always knew the right thing to say when am a wreck like this but it was mid-night she couldn't come over at this time then suddenly my cell phone rang it was Kayla "hey Jackson am sorry for waking you up is just I can't sleep" "it's okay Kayla I was already awake " she wondered why I was up so late I didn't wait for her to ask I figured it out myself " I bet you are wondering why I am up so late " then I told her about the sounds she said she was coming over. I was about to protest but she hung up within five minutes she was at my house on her bike '
I helped her through my window I was surprised for a girly cheerleader she could climb pretty well and she kind of looked cute in her bunnyjamies she gave me a warm hug for a minute I was glad she was there and all my fears just left me I was so happy then suddenly I heard my name again and I remembered why Kayla was here she asked "do you hear that?"I was surprised and asked "you mean you hear it?" which was kind of stupid she just said she could hear it but she just nodded slowly then I said "why don't we forget it and you sleep over and tomorrow you sneak back home now isn't that a great idea? You sleep here and I will...." "Jackson stop this "she sounded a bit mad but I acted like I didn't notice "Jackson please let's check it out I mean it its goanna be fun trust me I promise let's have a little adventure and make this summer count please?" I have to say she has a way of always getting what she wants a little puppy dog face and a tear in her eye she's got it but she looked serious and sincere but adventure, what is she thinking the last time we had an adventure was on a school camp to a fake Amazon (that could totally pass for a real one) she was the first to leave and now she wants adventure? Is she insane? I didn't say any of this out loud but she could tell I was worried I mean for a fifteen year old I think really hard before I make a mistake hard to get out of but she placed her hand on my shoulder which told me she is also taking a risk and it was okay I could see fear in her eyes but as we walked towards the closet she looked pretty confident we held hands (hey it totally didn't mean anything you know just to build a little confidence)I could feel like an electric shock through me but I shuddered it off and we opened the closet and walked in.
I could see waterfalls, beautiful meadows and gardens it was the most beautiful place ever I could tell Kayla liked the view she squeezed my hand so hard I almost screamed but I held it in.
The creatures that lived didn't seem to notice us which gave us more time to know how they looked like .they looked like humans but they had leathery wings like that of a bat it stretched from their wrists to their waists it was amazing they flew in the air it was just beautiful then they suddenly stopped what they were doing and started staring at us I could tell Kayla liked all the attention but I on the other hand didn't like it so much the last time I had this much attention I puked so I didn't want it to happen again.
Suddenly someone like their king said something and they started rejoicing and celebrating he sent six men to carry us on this huge thing that looked like a stretcher but it was comfortable and was decorated in flowers as we proceeded Kayla right beside me started waving like some princess I don't blame she is so used to getting attention then I heard one of the men say "our savior has come" in a weird language but for some reason I and Kayla could understand them she looked at me stunned like she never knew she understood their language and they also understood English after a few seconds she just turned away and continued waving .I felt weird they meant Kayla right? I tried to tell myself that but something kept telling me it was me so I decided to save my questioning for later.
