42. Hospital Romance.

After punching harshad to her heart's content,she left from the police station along with abhimanyu to meet naira.

Meanwhile at the hospital...

After manan had left..kartik sat on the bed facing naira. Both looked at each other and then burst out laughing,recalling his embarrasing scene in front of manan. Kartik was busy admiring naira's beautiful carefree laugh...which he always wished to see. While laughing she noticed that kartik was staring at her lovingly. She shied away lowering her gaze while a tint of reddish pink glow showed up on her cheeks. Both kept staring into each other's eyes...trying to by heart them for life. After sometime kartik's phone strted ringing....and naira broke the eyelock.
The phone ringtone was "zaalima" from raees.

Kartik pov:

Wow naira's eyes are so beautiful tht even god is playing such a romantic song for us from heaven....wow .

N: kartik ur phone is ringing.

K:.........

N: kartik!!! (Shaking him)

K:(still lost) what naira??

N: ur phone is ringing...

K:oh..

He keeps his gaze fixed on naira while he dreamily receives the call.

Phone conversation:

K:(dreamily looking at naira) hellooo??

Mu: kartik?? Where are you??

Kartik straightens himself and come out of his dreamland hearing his mother.

K:huh...umm yeah mom...main hospital main hoon...naira ke paas.

Mu:hmm...okay how is she right now?? Hosh aaya?? Ur papa and i are coming to meet her.

K: yeah mom...she is perfectly fine now...baatein bhi kar rahi hai...bas thodi weak hai.

Mu: hash...thanks to aiyappa for saving my daughter in law safe.

K:(blushes) mom??

Mu:(teases) oh...sorry i mean would be daughter in law...if my stupid son is able to propose her.

K:mom!! I will do tht very soon...infact aaj hi karke ka iraada tha...but yeh sab ho gaya...

Mu:its okay beta...once she is always ekdum kartik thakkar ke style mein usse propose karna...and then....

K:then wht??

Mu: shaadi !!!! Bade dhoom dhaam se main apni bahu ko le aaungi...

K:(blushes) mom...please...anyways aap aur dad abb jaldi aayiye...

Mu:(laughs) okay bye.

K:(smiles) bye...see you.

End of conversation.

K:naira mom dad tumse milne aa rahe hain.

N:(smiles) okay...waise kartik tum...aaj kya karne wale the??

K:matlab??

N: tum mukti aunty ko phone pe bol rahe the nah...ki aaj kuch karne ka iraada tha tumhaara...

K:(holds her hands) naira...waqt aane par tumhe sab bata dunga...okay??

N:(smiles) okay...

The nurse enters the room with a food  tray with her.

K: we did not order for food.

Nu: but sir...its our hospital rule tht patient ka first meal hospital hi dete hain...so sir...here is the vegetable soup for patient.

K:umm okay thankyou.

Nurse leaves.

Kartik sits with her soup bowl in front of naira and forwards the spoon to her to feed her.

Naira holds kartik's hand and says..

N: tum khaao ...subah se tumne bhi kuch nahi khaya...

And she feeds him.

Kartik immediately spits out the soup and naira bursts out laughing.

K:(wipes his lips) yuckkkk!! Wht is this...hospital saves people...but inka soup peekar koi healthy fit person bhi bimar padh jaaye....yeh log patient ko maarna chahte hain...ya bachana chahte hain??

Looks at naira and then understands her prank...

K: tabhi main sochu...ki naira malhotra achanak sati savitri kaise ban gayi???

N: to kya main sati savitri nahi hoon??

K: maine aise kab kaha...tum ho...but only selective instances pe tum aisi ho. Chalo abb soup peeyo...mujhe pilaya abb main tumhe nahi chodunga.

N: kartik please ....

K:(acts stern) naira im serious..have this...

N:(half heartedly) okay..

K: thts like a good girl...

And feeds her...she keeps making cute puppy faces asking him not to feed anymore. Kartik loves this cute side of naira...but for her health..he behaves strict and makes her drink more than half of the soup.

N: bas..kartik i cant have this anymore.

K: okay..im letting you go coz mujhe bhi pata yeh kaisa taste karta hai...so now ur free.

N: haaaashh...!!! Finally tum mein akal aayi...buddhuram kahin ke !!

Kartik was about to say something back...when mukbhi entered the room with bunch of flowers and naira's favourite chocolates.

Mu:(kissing naira's forehead) how are u baccha??

N:(smiles) im fine aunty...much better..

Ab: (placing the flowers and chocolates on naira's lap) yeah woh toh hona hi hai...mera beta jo itni acchi care kar raha hai tumhaari...kyun???

Kartik and naira both blush...

N:(blushes) uncle....woh...

Ab:(caresses her head) its okay...we understand...waise yeh bataao beta...tumhaare woh nalaayak mom dad kahan hain??

Mu:(dramatically) yeah...apni ek lauti beti ko aise hi ek anjaan ladke ke saath chhod gaye...

K:mom...u look like navya aunty...stop the drama.

N: so true.

K: waise....manik uncle and nandini aunty...ghar gaye hain...to bring fresh home made food for naira.
