'12th May 2012. I dont know what to say. It still hurts. Nothing has changed. They say time will heal. But when? Its been weeks now. Months. Living with the fact that Im never going to be good enough for him, kills me on the inside. I feel so alone. Like I have no friends. Wait, of course I dont. All the people in my life either hate me, or secretly do. What have I even done? I cant trust anyone. He broke me.'
Tears fall down her eyes, smudging the words. She shuts her diary, realising she would not be able to sleep that night.
6 a.m, her alarm rings, she wakes up. Takes a bath, dresses up. She takes one last look at the mirror, and sets off for school.
At school, noone notices her. Noone cares. She takes her usual seat next to the window, and sits there, alone, knowing she's surrounded by people who hate her. 'Darn, Math is the first period.', she hears someone say. Math, right now? Today's Wednesday? She realises he will be there too. She sighs, and shifts to the seat in the corner. Much better, noone will take the slightest notice of me here, she thinks to herself.
He finally comes, with another girl, whom she couldn't recognize at first. But she guessed at it, and she was right. Alison.
He looks at her, for a fraction of a second, and sits next to some of his friends in front. Thank God, she thought to herself.
School gets over fast, she comes home. She showers, finishes her homework. She sits around for a while, listening to music, and then she has her dinner and goes to bed. That night, she takes a walk down memory lane, and goes back, way back, to the first day she had met him.
