I slammed my hand on my locker in frustration.
Why isn't my locker opening???!!!!???
"Havin some problems there?" I heard from my left.
I turned and saw Jeff standing there, smiling at me.
"Yes please." I said and stepped back.
Jeff stepped up to my locker and did my combination. It opened on the first try.
"You're a life saver." I grabbed my books out of my locker and slammed it shut.
"You're good at Algebra right?"
"Yeah..." I answered.
"Can you tutor me?" Jeff asked.
"Sure, what time"
"Tomorrow" He said with a bright smile.
"Ok, see you then."
We stared at each other for a moment, then the bell rang. Walking through the halls is always an adventure, just like watching the guys tease the girls is always terrible to watch. You always want to say something, but you can't. Say one wrong thing, and you get teased. I watch Hannah Baker get bullied. Walking to her classes and being catcalled. There are only a couple of nice guys in this school,and Jeff was one of the good ones.
I got to class, and sat down, unable to get a certain guy out of my head throughout the whole class period.
It's okay though, math was never one of my strong suits.
Time Skip
I had run into Jeff earlier, and we had agreed to meet up in the library. When I walked into the library, Jeff was waiting for me at the table.
"Hey" he said with a grin as he looked up at me.
"Hey, am I late?"
"No, I came here a little early to look over my notes"
"Ok what do you want to go over first?"
He handed me a piece of paper labeled notes 10.1.
"How do you even do this" He laughed.
"Like this." I grabbed the pencil and started writing different kinds of equations slowly, and showing them to him so he could understand the movements. I then wrote out a small problem on an extra sheet of paper.
"Try it." I stated, my emotions plain.
"Alright." He answered, grabbing his pencil and beginning to work.
While he was working I was studying for a science test, then I heard him grunt, I didn't look up, thinking he was just having some trouble. I must've heard at least a thousand mumbled what the fucks' before I finally looked up. I saw him crumple his paper up and toss it into the trash across the room.
"Nice shot,"I said as he looked towards me.
"Need help?"
"Yes," he replied
"I don't get it at all"
"Ok, here"
I took out another piece of paper, and explained it to him another time more thoroughly.
"So then you do -b plus or minus the square root of b minus 4ac over 2a" I said to him showing him my work.
"And then you would plug in the numbers to the equation?"
"Correct" I said as I clapped.
We shared smiles but got interrupted by the Librarian shushing us. We both laughed, and I gave him more examples that he completed.
"You did great" I smiled
"Thanks, and thanks again for tutoring me"
"No problem, if you need anymore help just ask me."
"Ok, well I got to go"
"Ok, bye" We shared smiles once again and walked opposite ways.
We both kept walking, or so I thought, until he flew past me, landing a kiss on my right cheek.
"I parked my car over here." He said, winking at me.
The door slammed shut, and I was just left walking to my car alone, a big grin on my face.
