A very appealing light blue stretched and withdrew from the once-bright sand, now brown and sodden from the constant contact with the sea.
Lucy was perched on the wall next to the walkway by the road that snaked around the beach. It was the peak of a summer day, and the area was packed with people and cars.
Now Lucy was perfectly fine with people. She wasn't shy and quiet like Lily, nor outgoing and extroverted like John. She was okay with them. But there were so many, everywhere she turned to look, they were always there. It made Lucy a little uncomfortable and eventually she slipped off of her seat and turned to look for the others.
