You slammed your hand down onto your beeping alarm clock, then rubbed your eyes. A loud yawn escaped from your mouth as you zoned out of your slumber. A smile crept it's way onto your face, today was going to be an exciting day. Today you were going to meet your child hood best friend for the first time in ages, Norman Bates. He was your best friend at the age of twelve but sadly he moved. He did a lot of moving around, just like your family did. Only this time you would both be living in the same town, you could swear it was fate. You jumped out of bed and ran yourself a hot bath. As you bathed yourself you thought about how Norma, Normans mother, texted you a few days ago, letting you know they were moving here. She said it would be a surprise for Norman to see you again. The family of two were moving into the old seafairer's mansion, and going to be running the motel there. Norman would be at your school too. Everything was falling into place. By now you were getting dressed, you put on your favourite (f/c) t-shirt along with your denim jeans. You carefully brushed your shiny (h/c) hair and put some make up on your face, it was just the right amount to bring out your dazzling (e/c) eyes. You grabbed your phone and headed out for the Motel, you could hardly sit still as you were so excited. Before you knew it you where at the motel and mansion. The sight of the beautiful mansion bewildered you... all you could do now was wait for them to arrive.

After not long of waiting you saw that silver car pull into the parking lot, the car had a lot of luggage attached to the roof, you felt your heart beat as you walked towards the car. You see Norma step outside with Norman, his eyes were closed
Norma told Norman to stay put and keep his eyes closed as she ran to you, she had a wide smile on her face as she whispered the word "hey" to you and tugged on your arm and pulled you next to the car, she sat on top of the cars hood and then said, "Open your eyes."

Norman did as told and opened his eyes, they grew wider as he saw you, without a moments hesitation he gave you a tight hug and cheered your name, "(y/n)!"
He let you go and stared at you, he couldn't stop smiling, he was this happy to see you and it made your heart melt.

"So what do you think?" Norma asked, pointing out the motel and mansion, trying to move his interest towards their new home and business.
Norman let out a small chuckle and said, "mom this is crazy."
"We're gonna run this place." she said as she hugged her son. "Come on! I'll show you both the house!"

The three of you made your way to the mansion, it was truly a beautiful work of art. Inside the mansion was furniture all wrapped up and ready to be unpacked. Norma led us upstairs to show us her and Normans room.

"You know, I could help you guys unpack." You spoke up and offered.
Norma smiled, "Oh. Yes that would be lovely of you, (y/n)."

You three spent the rest of the night unpacking and moving boxes and all sorts. It was around nine thirty by the time you had finished. Norma offered to drive you home but you refused as your home was only around a ten minute walk. You headed outside and walked down the steps from the mansion, you stopped dead on your tracks when you heard Norman call on you, "(y/n)!"
You turned around to face him, "Norman." You smile at him
"I just wanted to thank you for helping us and also it's uh, very nice to see you again." He nodded and smiled at you.
"It's great to see you too Norman" you say as you stare into his blue eyes, they were so pretty and really stood out under the moonlight.
Before you knew it Norman quickly leaned in and gently pressed his lips on your cheek and then quickly pulled away. Your heart began to rapidly beat and your cheeks flushed a light red. Norman started to stutter and jitter, "A-Ah I'm s-sorry I just haven't seen you in so long and-"
You cut him short, "Norman it's okay" you say as you give him a good night hug, "Hey, how about I meet you at the bus stop in the morning? We can sit next to each other on the bus?" You suggested
"Oh yeah, that sounds great, I'll see you tomorrow morning then!" He grinned and waved you good bye.

You made your way home, all flustered as he had kissed your cheek, all kinds of thoughts flooded your mind. Does this mean he likes you?
