When the daughter introduced her friend,
The father frowned and mother disapproved,
For the society said, "Opposite gender can't be friends"The daughter was confused and ridiculed by the stupidity
Can the disgustingly questioning glance of the society
Put the pure form of friendship,
The unending care, support and sacrifices to shame?
"No", decided the daughter and stood by her friend.Years passed by and they still stood by each other
Cushioning each other's failures and sorrows,
Protecting each other ,
And the society still disapproved. But the mother silently rejoiced,
For she had been a victim too,
Of this inhumane cruel stereotype.
