Chapter 2: Red Eyes

"We're back!" a loud voice echoed loudly around the guild, as the doors shot loudly behind the people who entered.

"Welcome back!" Mira cheered, looking as Natsu and Lucy as they sat at the bar, hiding her worry for the Celestial mage.

It had been about three days sense Lucy bursted into the guild and tackled Natsu because of her nightmare. She was always glancing at the Dragon Slayer, never taking her eyes of him longer than a couple minutes. Something was definitely wrong. The blonde seemed frightened and worried for her friend, it seemed she also knew something was extremely wrong about her dream. Natsu seemed as clueless as ever though.

Mira sighed in frustration as Lucy looked worriedly at her partner as he looked the other way to answer one of Gray's usual insults towards the Dragon Slayer. Walking to stand in front of Lucy, Mira smiled worriedly at the blonde.

"Lucy." her calm voice brought said person out of her trance and looked towards the barmaid.

"What can I do for you, Mira?" Lucy asked politely, smiling brightly.

"You have to stop worrying so much. Natsu's fine. Except his brain might've always been a little damaged." Mira said, frowning at the Celestial mages reaction as she mumbled the last part to herself.

"Was I really starring that much?" Lucy asked, pink dusting her cheeks a little.

"Clear as Natsu's brain." Mira chuckled.

"Mira! That's mean." Lucy huffed, getting a knowing look for the she-devil.

"But I just can't stop hearing his screams, it makes me anxious. It just- it just felt so." Lucy drifted of, her eyes drifting to her clenched hands on her lap.

"Real. Yeah I know. But it isn't, remember that. He's completely fine. So try to have a little fun and I know go on a mission, your rent is coming up soon right?" Mira asked, getting a nod from her.

"Great, then you should all go!" Mira exclaimed happily, clapping her hand together.

"I guess your right. Thanks Mira!" Lucy smiled, moving to walk to her team, who was sitting at the table furthest away for the bar.

Gray, Erza, Wendy, the exceeds and Natsu looked up at her as she walked towards them, sitting down beside Natsu.

"Hey, Lucy! Wanna join us on a mission?" Natsu cheered excitedly.

"Yeah. I was going to ask you guys anyways so good timing." the blonde laughed, getting a grin from the Dragon Slayer.

Natsu moaned in pain as his head laid on his partners lap. He heard Gray snicker quietly to not catch Erza's attention who sat beside him. Natsu just sent him a weak glare, not having the energy to start anything.

"So what's the job about?" Lucy asked with a small smile, dragging her fingers softly through Natsu's pink locks.

Erza looked up at her from her daydreaming, probably about strawberry cake or a certain blue haired man. Erza starred softly at the stellar mage, like she was thinking about what Lucy could have said. She suddenly smiled and grabbed the mission flier from her pocket damnation.

"We have to take out a dark guild. Their name is unknown and how many mages there are in the guild as well. They are extremely strong because of them being near a famous dark forest. The dark forest is famous for its unusual creatures and there has even been sightings of inhuman creatures, in human form." Erza explained, making everyone look in wonder at how much information she knew.
