"So how was your date last night?" Catherine asked as we walked into the school.

"It was amazing." I state as a smile tugs on my lips. "It was the best night of my life."

"You guys didn't-" Catherine asked and I knew she was referring to but I just looked away as my cheeks started blushing. "Oh my god you did, you hoe. Nah, I am just kidding I am happy for you two. I am glad my brother chose you and not Sandra."

"I never found out why you guys 'broke up'." I state as we reach my locker. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

"Sandra was talking about me behind my back. She found out about Emma and my family issues and she started spreading rumors on how Ryder and I were staying with you because my mom was broke and other shit and I don't want a friend like that in my life." Catherine explained and I listened attentively.

"I wonder if she was just born like that or if she had a shitty past that made her like this?" I reply as I set my books in my arm.

"I don't think even a shitty past would suffice to explain why she is this heartless jerk." Catherine points out and I nod.

"So how was the party?" I ask as I grab my locker door and tap my fingers on it thinking if I missed any of my books.

I turn to look at Catherine who was silent and staring at something on the blue locker door. I find her stare gazing at the promise ring Ryder gave me.

"Oh my god he gave it to you!" Catherine exclaims excitedly as she launched at me and hugs me.

"Yeah." I reply with a grin as I stare down at the ring.

"I am so happy for you two, I swear you two are the cutest couple ever." Emma gushed as she too gave me a hug.

"Catherine! Emma! Happy early birthday!" April exclaim as she came running towards us. Oh my god I almost forgot it's their birthday tomorrow.

"Thanks April." They both answer in unison as the three girls pull away from the hug.

"Where's Ryder?" April asked as she scanned the halls for Ryder.

"Hiding." Catherine jokes causing April to frown.

"But I need to give him his birthday punches." April whined making us laugh.

"Hey babe." Ryder's voice stated as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pecked my cheek.

"Hey." I reply with a smile as I lean into his chest enjoying his warm embrace.

"Heeey Ryyyyder." April stated with a smirk on her face.

"Oh no, no, no." Ryder replies as he starts backing away.

"Yup." April replies as she steps forward.

"Noooo!" Ryder yells out as he starts running away with April right on his tracks.

We laugh as the two run down the halls causing people to move out of their way.

"And I thought I was violent." Alexia comments as she stares at the two teenagers with an amused look.

"You are." Daniel answers as he rests his elbow on Alexia's shoulder.

"Get you're arm off my shoulder before I break it in half!" She threatens giving Daniel a deadly look.
