'Ello, reader! I'm happy you've chosen to read my little bottle of joy that is, "Is It Worth Living?"
This story will be following Boruto on a journey through the ruins of an mentally drained ninja. It isn't for the light-hearted, so I'll really be trying my best to give it that really depressing mood whenever Boruto/Bolt happens to be in the scene.
Now, every song for each chapter will be hand-picked by me. You may request a song, but it'll have to properly fit with the mood of said chapter. This chapter, I chose Fukai Mori, a song that was used as an ending for Inuyasha.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this story as I try my best to make it as entertaining as I can! And, yes, the prolong is a tad bit on the short side.
--------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Blood seeps from my freshly cut right eye. My vision fuzzy, heavy breathing, and my body feeling on fire.
What exactly happened?
"BOLT! BOLT! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!"
I-Is that Sarada's voice I hear yelling my name?
"MITSUKI, I DON'T KNOW IF BOLT CAN HEAR ME." A panicked Sarada screams.
"PICK HIM UP AND LET'S GO. WE CAN'T STAY HERE TOO LONG!"
Soon enough, I felt my body being lifted upwards, and carried away from the scenery. My vision clears with my one good eye; The sight of a burning building seemingly in view as I'm carried far from it.
Before I could utter any type of sentence, my vision fades quickly without warning.
No One's Point Of View.
Sarada, while carrying Boruto, arrived to the leaf village with Mitsuki. They both quickly took Boruto to the hospital, then informed the Hokage about their failed mission.
Afterwards, they met up with the rest of their friends to talk about Boruto's situation.
"Why did that jackass have to run inside the building first?!" Sarada's left fist connects with one of the various walls. A small, fist-like crater is formed.
"You know, Boruto. He's not one to listen when it comes to rules. Anyways, it seemed like he got Kawaki before he flead the scenery." Mitsuki replies, standing a few feet away from Sarada.
"That doesn't change the fact that he's gotten injured while being reckless!" Sarada punches the wall yet again.
"Anyone of us would've gotten hurt if Kawaki found out we've been on his trail! Boruto only wants to try stopping him before he tries causing chaos across the land!" Mitsuki fires back.
"Chaos?! He's already tried attacking the Sand Village a week ago. What other chaos can he create that's larger than that?!" Sarada growls.
Mitsuki eyes Sarada before saying, "Touché, Sarada. You're correct, he's already caused Chaos. Then you should understand why Boruto tried stopping him last night. If it wasn't him, who else could stop this idealistic madman?!"
"Hey, hey! Both of you calm the hell down." Shikadai shouts, trying to deconstruct the deathly tension within the room.
Metal Lee, Chōchō, Inojin, and Himawari were also present in the room.
"Anyways, we understand that you're both cautious about the whole Kawaki situation. The man has been setting a blaze to each village, letting his name being heard by many. Right now, he isn't our man priority. Making sure Boruto's okay is. Now, get yourselves mentally prepared to see him." Both Mitsuki and Sarada huffed.
"Lee, do you...think my brother will alright?" Himawari asked Lee as they all gathered to leave the room.
"Hima, I've know your brother for nearly my entire life, and I know he'll bounce back like it never happened."
Hearing this made Himawari smile slightly.
