"So I have to ask out Kaelyn, then tell her its a joke? Don't you think that's a bit too harsh bro?"
"Come on, don't be such a chicken, whats the worse that can happen? second of all, I'm not your brother"
"Okay fine fine, but if it goes wrong I'm blaming it all on you"
"Alright so deal?"
"Deal."

I was walking down the hallways with Sheri, talking about the $1 Valentine crap when I spot a familiar baseball player coming our way, now to be honest here, he's been my crush since the second I laid my eyes on his fine self.
Soon enough Jeff was standing right in front of me, with that big signature smile of his.
"Hey Sheri can I steal Kaelyn from you for a moment?"
"Yeah for sure, I have to go talk with Jessica about some stuff anyways, see you late Kaelyn"
Once Sheri was out of sight, my focus was all on Jeff, curious on what he had to talk to me about. We have a couple classes together, we've talked from time to time, so what could he possibly want from me? Maybe he wants the answers for the science assignment thats due today.
"So Mr.Atkins, what could you possibly want to talk to me about?" I smiled and kept walking till I got to my locker, opening it
"I'm just gonna be straightforward with it, but would you like to be my girl?"
Once Jeff had said those words I've always dreamt he would ask me, I froze, a small smile growing on my face
"Are you being completely serious right now Jeff? It better not be a joke because you have no clue what I'm capable of"
Jeff's Point of View
Once she said if it was a joke I became a little stiff and my hands became sweaty, I really didn't want her to find out its a joke, I don't wanna hurt her. I don't even wanna see the look on her face when I tell her its a joke
"Kaelyn baby I'm being completely honest, I don't lie, it isn't my style"
"Then sure, I'd love to be the famous Jeff Atkins' girl"
And with those words, the game began
1 Year Later
"Baby I have to go, I need to talk to Sheri about some cheerleading stuff that you wouldn't understand" I winked at Jeff and started walking away
Suddenly I get pulled back and feel a familiar pair of lips press against mine, fitting perfectly with each other, Jeff pulls back and smiles
"Alright now you can leave, you didn't give me a goodbye kiss which isn't a proper way to say goodbye to me babygirl"
I smiled and shook my head, turning back around to find my way to Sheri, I turn the corner then hear Jeff speaking to someone and my curious self decided eavesdrop even though I didn't mean to
"So have you told Kaelyn yet?"
"Told her what?"
I recognized the other voice to be Clay's
"About the dare? You know the one where I told you to ask her out and tell her its a joke? Jeff its been a year! How did you let it get this far?!"
I was frozen and decided that's where I should stop, I didn't want to hear what Jeff had to said, every damn word that came out of his mouth was a lie.
FLASHBACK
Jeff had his arm latched around my waist holding me tight to him as we sat in the sand of the beach, looking at the sunset, I had my head on his shoulder looking up at him and kissed his jaw
"Kaelyn I need to tell you something important, something I've been thinking a lot about but Kaelyn...I love you"
END OF FLASHBACK
Every 'I love you' meant nothing to him after all, I knew it was too good to be true. So later when he offers me to drive me home I'll confront confront him about it and its done
LATER THAT DAY
This is it. Jeff is leaned up against his car like always waiting for me to get out of the building to his car but not today
I pushed the doors ofthe school open and made sure I didn't look at Jeff, I made sure I was walking quickly as possible hoping he wouldn't see me or catch up to me, but he saw me and didn't say anything, he ran over to me, hugging me from behind
"There you are princess, I was wondering when you were gonna finally get out of there before I would have to go search for you" Jeff chuckled against my neck "Now come on, lets get you back on home"
I pushed him off me since he didn't have a strong grip on me,he looked at me confused as I looked pissed and upset
"No, I'm not going to ride with you today and not ever, you can forget about your feelings for me, even though I'm pretty sure you had none for me since our whole relationship is based on lies! You didn't think I would find out would you? You didn't think I would find out that you only asked me out because you and Clay made a bet? Well guess what buddy I did. And I fucking hate you, I never ever wanna see you again in my damn life!"
By now tears were streaming down my face, everyone was staring at us whispering, Jeff tried stepping forward and I stepped back
"Kaelyn please let me explain! It was a bet at first yes I admit, but soon I fell in love with you I truly did-"
"No. Jeff I didn't ask anything from you and I clearly never asked you for an explanation so I don't wanna hear it. We're done and it's sticking that way"
