10k x reader THE DEATH OF ME

•Philly Feast•

   We've been on the road for awhile now, from what I can tell we are heading for Philly. I still don't know where are destination is, sense I'm still a little new to the group. The good thing is that I'm not the only one. A few days back we found a girl called Cassandra. So yay I'm not a loner anymore.
   I was still in the back with 10k, but now Mack and Doc have joined us sense there was no room in the truck. I love this group and they took me in and all, but if we add anymore people to this group it could be the end of us. Sure it's got its perks, but when it comes to food and supplies we're running low. If it comes to letting people go you can be damn sure me and Cassandra are going to be the first. I can't blame them if they do, they don't owe us anything.
   I was snapped out of my thoughts when the truck came to a hard stop. Garnett jumped out of the front. He started walking towards a weird object on the back of a run down truck. I squinted my eyes to see this mysterious object.......THE LIBERTY BELL!!!
Garnett read the side of it and confirmed that it was truly the Liberty Bell. Wow I can starch that off my bucket list.
I sat down trying to comprehend what I just saw. Everyone was in the same state I was in, well besides Warren she was of course checking for gas. Thank you god if we could get another car running then I don't have to sit in the back anymore. I took advantage of the beautiful moment to stretch my legs. Only being my clumsy self I stumbled as a hit the ground. I caught my balance just in time to see Warren open the other car door. Unfortunately there was a zombie in the front seat.

"WARREN!"

I was the only thing I could do was yell, but before I knew something went past my head and straight into the zombies. I looked behind me to see 10k, who wasn't even fazed by what just happened. Hell I didn't even know what just happened.

"1075"

Was all he said. Damn can this boy get any hotter......

Ummm no I did not just say that.

The others went back to get the car to work while I just sat against the truck off in my little word. Soon I was snapped back when I heard the roar of it the engine. In a matter of seconds we were back on the road again. Me, 10k, Doc, and Cassandra were in the pickup and everyone else was with the Liberty Bell.

"We aren't really going all the way to California with this Murphy guy are we?"

We were only about 2 minutes into the ride before Cassandra started to complaining....again. This was going to be a very long car ride.

"That's the plan"

Doc responded exhausted of the same question.

"That's crazy! What's so special about him anyways?"

"His blood."

Before I could respond with my shock the car made a hard left to avoid a out of control car. I watched as the car Warren was in spun out and the Liberty went flying. Crushing anything the dared to be in its path.

"Yeah! I pay money to see that again."

I laughed at Doc's comment as I reached over 10k and opened the door, pushing him out in the process. I guess it was back to sitting in the back

                                                                      {TIME SKIP}

"Enjoy, that's the last of the food."

Hearing those words leave Warrens mouth, made my stomach flip. Why hadn't they cut us loose yet? I decided to save my food and I saw that me and Cassandra had the same idea. Their was is no way we would be able to stay much longer if we wanted to survive. I looked over to see Murphy literally about to eat his wrapper that used to hold his Twinkie

"God I'm so hungry my big guts are eating my little guts. You gonna eat all of that?"

He started to reach for 10ks Twinkie, but before he could get to it 10k shoved it completely into his mouth.

"Selfish little bastard."

I busted into laughter only calming down when Garnett got up. He gave me the look to shut up and I did I mean it immediately. He gave us orders to split up and to look for anything we could use. I got to go with Addy and Mack. Great I can't wait to fallow the two love birds around and be a professional third wheel.

I jumped off the truck and started walking off I was only stopped when I felt something grab my wrist. I turned around to see 10k was the one.

"Are you ok 10k?"

I didn't get a response all I got was few seconds of eye contact before he let me go and run towards the detection Doc and Cassandra went. I was in complete shock.

"Y/N COME ON WE DONT HAVE ALL DAY."

Addy said as she pushed me to get me going. I shook my head and started to walk, but I couldn't help but wonder what just happened. Why did 10k stop me? Does he.....No no it doesn't matter, I have to focus on the task at hand. Find a stupid radio and don't get eaten.

                                                              {TIME SKIP}

We had been walking for about maybe 25 minutes and still haven't found anything.

"Addy what exactly are we looking for?"

"Come on y/n, I've already told you. We are looked for something to contact that Citizen Z guy."

Thanks Addy that makes everything more clear. Addy started to jog towards what looks like a run down cop car.

"Bulls eye! See y/n that's what we are looking for."

Addy say as she points her bat at the police radio in the car. I let her and Mack take care of the zombie that was inside as I stood back and enjoyed the zombie scenery.

As soon as Addy and Mack killed it Mack ran off to do his thing while Addy started to work on the radio. I came around and slid into the passenger seat watching Addy work.

"So do you think you can get this old thing to work?"

I asked as I poked it.

"I can try"

She grab the walkie.

"Mayday....mayday... calling anybody on this frequency. Mayday.... mayday... this Addison Carver with Delta Xray Delta. Trying to contact Citizen Z. Come in Citizen Z."

I looked at Addy as I could tell she was started to loose hope.

"Addy maybe we should st....."

"Delta Xray Delta this is Citizen Z. Do you copy over?"

The voice coming through the walkie was like music to my ears.

"Copy you loud and clear Citizen Z."

I hit Addy on the shoulder as we both jumped with excitement. I jumped out of the car to go find and tell Mack only to hit something hard and get knocked off my feet. When I hit the ground I felt a sharp pain where my head hit. Everything's got blurry after that and in a matter of seconds the surrounding darkness took over. The last thing a saw was a man picking me up and it was not Mack.

Yep I'm human trash. It took me like two months to update. I promise I'm already working on the next one Philly Feast Part 2. Thanks for reading.
