*Anna's POV*
I wandered through the streets of the abandoned city hoping that I would find one of my friends before the villains did.
Slowly and carefully I made my way passed the comic book store, the last place I saw Cole alive.
I would make Chase pay for what he did.
'You won't succeed.' I heard a voice say.
'Give up like the green ninja did.'
What did the voices mean Lloyd gave up?
'Soon you will join the red and white ninja like he did.'
"What's going on!?" I yelled.
'Anna, don't listen to them. They are trying to catch you off guard.' said a calm soothing voice.
Who's voice was that?
"Who's there?!" I called.
'A close friend to help you. You will know in time who I am. I am your guardian my sweet Anna.' the voice replied.
What did they mean my guardian?
*Misty's POV*
Darkment's plan was working.
Kai, Zane and Lloyd had all been sent to a special place and said that the others who were still alive would join them soon.
All that I knew was that right now Andrew was there torchering Lloyd.
Storm had returned earlier with news that Anna had resisted the so called 'voices' and wouldn't be as easy as we thought.
'Anna will pay! She will die like Cole did!' I thought to myself.
*Serene's POV*
I silently followed Council through the portal back to Ninjago. The city was abandoned and there wasn't a single sign of my friends.
"We must move quickly if we are to find your friends before we are too late," Council said.
"What about your brother? If he knows I'm alive and hurt he won't stop until he has the key and I'm dead."
Council sighed and continued walking.
'Why didn't he answer my question?' I thought.
We walked in silence for what seemed like hours but then Council came to a stop in the middle of the city.
"We aren't alone." he spoke.
I looked around.
"Nothing's-" I was cut off when a throwing star landed deep within the wall of the building beside me. Underneath it's sharp tip was part of a green cloth.
Lloyd.
They had Lloyd!
"No!" I yelled.
"Yes my dear, he is putting on quite the show for us." said Darkment's voice from behind me.
I whipped around to see Darkment walking towards Council and myself.
"What are you doing to him?!"
"Why a little bit of torture," he smirked in reply.
"Leave the ninja and my student out of this," Council said firmly.
Darkment looked at his brother and smirked.
"You know brother I have never really agreed to your terms so how about we change the game."
Council turned his head and looked at me.
His eyes told me to run and go as far away as possible but I stayed where I stood with the green cloth in my hands.
"I will not let you succeed brother!" yelled Council.
"So be it then. Let the fight begin! Loser dies and winner walks away with your student!" replied Darkment.
This couldn't be happening.
Then the two charged.
Council struck his brother with a ball of light and caused him to fly back into a wall unconscious, or so I thought.
Council then turned towards me and smiled.
"Now my dear let's-" he was cut off when a spear of darkness went straight through his chest.
"NO! Council!" I screamed as tears formed in my eyes.
He fell to his knees and looked at me with eyes full of sorrow.
Darkment got up from the pile of ruble and smirked.
"I'm sorry Serene, I failed. Stay safe my dear student and win this war." Council said.
Darkment then pulled the spear out of his brothers chest and Council collapsed on the ground motionless.
Dead.
Council was dead and now Darkment had me alone.
