"katelynn get down here we cant be late for our flight." my brother caleb calls up the stairs.

"i'm coming calm yourself." i responded. i came down the stairs with my two suitcases and my purse ready for los angeles.

caleb helped me put my bags in his trunk and then we drove to the airport. once we got on the plane I plugged in my headphones and turned on the song classic by mkto.

after about two hours had gone by, caleb tapped me on the shoulder to wake me up from my sleep. "hey we are almost here, we have about an hour. want me to explain the stuff that will happen?" caleb asked me.

well let me explain the reason we are going to l.a. so we are going because caleb is finally eighteen and so he has been wanting to go to california for a summer sinse he was fifteen, and our mom promised us that we could go when caleb turned eighteen, so it's finally happening.

"sure." i said as i rolled my eyes. i only agreed because I got bored.

"so, we have all summer in cali. first, when we land first we check into the hotel, mom said that the beach house she rented us is only available for summer starting next week. by the way, we have roommates... luke, raymond, noah, carson, ethan, james, nathan, carson, and austin." he said as he was scrolling through his phone.

"caleb, thats a lot of people." i said to him as i was looking at his phone trying to figure out what he was doing. he was looking through his pictures.

"here, this is a picture of us all together, at graduation." caleb said handing me his phone.

caleb kept on rambling about how this summer is going to go but i had one earbud in, so i was kind of zoning in and out, just listening to my music and nodding my head like i'm paying attention.

by the time he finished talking the pilot came over the intercom "the plane is now arriving at lax please power off all your electronic devices and buckle up."

as i walked into my hotel room, i sat my bags down on the floor and i pulled out my cosmetics bad, knowing that i looked a mess and caleb's friends and him should be meeting up real soon. 

i walked into the small bathroom with my flat iron and my two small cosmetic make up bags. i washed my face off and re-did my make up. then i quickly straightened my dark blonde hair. but i am sure there were still some waves in it.

eventually, there was a knock on the door. i answered the door and saw only two of caleb's friends were with him. standing there was a tall blonde haired boy who's hair was in a perfect quiff, he was wearing a white diamond shirt with khaki's. and the other one standing there was raymond, he was caleb's best friend from sixth grade, and he has been over to our house multipule times. he has brown hair, also in a quiff with a blonde streak in it. 

"kate, this is luke." caleb said as the blonde haired boy said waving to me. "hi." he said with a shy smile. i gave him a gentle smile and said hello to him.

"miss me?" ray said as he pushed through lukle and caleb to come give me a hug.

"not really." i said to him with a laugh, hugging him back. raymond is like my second brother that i never had, and he is actually nice to me unlike caleb.

"hey, all of us are going out for an early dinner, we were wondering if you wanted to come." caleb said to me.

"um sure. but let me get my shoes on, i'll meet you all down in the lobby in five." i said to them as i closed the door and ran over to my suitcase, i grabbed my black and white colored vans and i quickly slid them on. i then grabbed my phone off of the counter and put in my back pocket. i grabbed the room ket and also put in my back pocket and then i walked out the door.

"hey." luke said to me, as he came out of the room across from mine.

"hi." i said with a small smile.

"so how come caleb never told many of us that he had a sister?" luke asked me with a small laugh.

"i don't know. caleb is just really over protective over me, he doesn't get that i am seventeen and i can kind of manage myself these days." i said to him as we reached the elevators and i pressed the down button.

the rest of the way down, it was silent. no one said anything until we met up with the rest of the boys.

"okay. katelynn, this is noah, carson, ethan, james, nathan, devon, and austin." caleb said to me introducing the seven boys standing infront of me. we all said out hello's and then discussed what we want to eat. we fianlly agreed on chick-fil-a. and then we realized it was a sunday, so we just went with the obvious, cheapest choice, in-n-out buger.

at dinner, i sat next to luke and caleb. and i was across from ray. i had order a double cheese burger and a small fry with a medium coke.

"you look beautiful tonight." luke said to me, in a voice, just above a whisper, yet i was still the only person who could hear him.

"thank you." i said blushing.

"i'll be right back." i said as i walked up and into the bathroom.

i made sure no one was in any of the stalls before i started talking. i looked myself in the mirror as the voices were getting louder.

don't believe him. you know what happens when you let people in. they break you, and then they leave. katelynn, believe me. he will never love you. love is just a scam, that's all it is, it's just an easy way for people to hurt you. and you don't want to hurt do you?

the voices, they kept getting louder before i finally yelled. "shut up!" i wasn't sure wether i actually screamed it or i thought i screamed it.

i wiped the few falling tears, and made sure my mascara wasn't running before i walked out. luke was standing there.

"who were you yelling at?" he asked me with a sincere look on his face.

"myself." i said as i felt my eyes start to get watery. i looked away from his light brown eyes, almost a golden color and i walked back to my seat.
