Flashback
Andrea's POV:
I was sitting in the living room on the couch and watching tv. Actually, I don't know if you can call it watching tv because I was just changing the channels continuously. When I'm bored I can just sit on the couch and go through all the channels in like a minute and then start all over again when I've gone through them all. My mum would always tell me to stop because she thought and still thinks that one day I'll break the tv or something.

''Andrea, please honey, can you decide which channel you want to watch?'' She already started to complain. Though, I continued to do what I did until I stopped on some reality show I haven't seen before. Reality shows are probably the only thing I watch on TV so I decided to watch it. Also, I think I've already binge watched every existent TV-serie in the world so it's also why I've started to watch reality shows, it's the only thing I haven't seen before.

''Why don't you go out and do something with your friends?'', my mom asked with one of her eyebrow raised and arms crossed. That's when you know she's starting to get frustrated with me. And I get her point, I do. But since my dad got hospitalized in the cause of his cancer I've lost a little of my motivation of hanging out with my friends. Especially now when the doctors are saying he doesn't have a long time left. So either, you'll see me at home binge watching TV-series or at the hospital with my dad. But somehow my friend Shawn pretty much always manages to get me out of my house. I don't how he does it but he's pretty good at making other people feel better. Even my dad says it and sometimes he comes with me and visits my dad at the hospital. My dad really appreciates that Shawn takes his time and once in a while checks on how he's doing.

Then the phone started to ring so I didn't have the need to explain myself to my mom and she went and answered it. I continued to watch the TV and shoved some popcorn in my mouth.

In the middle of a commercial, my mom came back to and before she could say something I said, ''fine I'll go outside and ask Shawn if he wants to do something..''

''No it's not that, they called from dad's hospital and they said that he's in very much pain right now and wants to see us,'' she said and I could read my mom's eyes and I'm sure we both thought the same thing. It's not that I didn't see this coming because I think we both just waited for the phone call but the thought of this happening right now made my heart drop and my whole body stiff.

''He's dying,'' I said quietly and looked down at the ground. ''Isn't he?,'' I then looked up at my mom and I could see a tear in her eye.

TEN YEARS LATER
Shawn's POV:
''Andrea, you really need to taste this muffin-milkshake! It's amazing and the best one I've ever tried!'' I said as my skin shivered from the taste of it. I know I'm weird but I'm a muffin-lover-boy, they are amazing and it is pretty much the only thing I need in life to be happy.

''Why are you talking like it's the first time you're drinking it?'' She looked at me with a weird and confused look. ''You order at least four of them when we are here at Wella's Café.'' She added.

''I know.. I guess they keep on surprising me..'' I answered and slurped on the milkshake. ''Anyway-,'' I added, ''what plans does the world have for Andrea today?'' I asked her even though I was only focused on how good the milkshake was and how it had the perfect amount of chocolate added.

''Well... Actually, I have some stuff to do.'' She said without any explanation.

Most of the people would have asked her what ''some stuff'' meant but knowing her I wouldn't get any answer anyway. Since I remember her when we were small kids she would always have a lot of secrets that I was dying to get to know. Sadly, I never got to know even the smallest one and until this day I'll never know why she wouldn't let me inside of her treehouse. When I was younger I always believed that she had some kind of a secret world up there. I even had a theory that it was the secret way to Hogwarts and that she knew Harry, Hermione and Ron and that she was a secret wizard. We would always make magic wands together as kids and then fight with them. She always won and that's where my theory about her being a secret wizard came from. I probably don't believe that today, but honestly, the mystery she has inside of her is capable of everything, and the mystery is in her til this day. But also, that's what keeps her interesting, the less she reveals about her the more will people wonder about her. And if I know her right, it's probably what she is seeking after.

''That sounds fun,'' I said wishing I was a part of her mysterious life.

''Yeah, maybe one day Shawn.'' She smirked at me, ''And I don't want to ruin this great time we're having right now but I need to go.'' She got up from her chair and pushed it back to the table.

''I guess it's not even necessary for me to ask where you're going?'' I asked.

''Nope,'' she smiled at me.

''I don't get her...'' I whispered to myself.

''Maybe that's the point Shawny,'' she replied, put her hand on my shoulder and left the café.
