|♛ Alisa's POV ♛|

I fluttered my eyes open as the aroma of coffee hit my nostrils, I groaned in annoyance. I have to say this to you all that I HATE coffee. Really. I would rather drink pee than coffee. Wait, what? Gross, I meant TEA.

Why does it smell coffee here anyways? Mom knows that I hate coffee . . .

Or . . . No way!

I checked the clock, and it's only 6:19 in the morning. Still have more time before school starts.

I didn't even bother to fix my hair and appearance as I rushed downstairs.

I spotted him in the couch reading newspaper while holding a mug of coffee in his other hand.

"Appa!" (Dad) I immediately come to his side and hugged him. I inhaled his scent which is my favorite scent of all, his perfume. I missed him.

"Hey kiddo." He said as he hugged me back and ruffled my hair. I smiled.

"Naega bogo sip-eoss-eo" (I missed you) I pouted as I hugged him tighter. He had been gone for almost a month from his business trip. Call me a daddy's girl, I don't care.

"Nado." (Me too) He agreed.

"What did you get me, Dad?" As I showed him my cutest puppy eyes I could ever do.

"You didn't even ask how my trip was, instead, and here you are asking what I brought for you." He said while holding his chest as if he's hurt by what I said.

"How was trip, Daddy? Are you jetlagged?" He laughed at my childishness. "It's in the table." He pointed.

"Yay!" I rushed to the table and saw a big box. And opened it:

"Strawberries?" I asked in disbelief.

"Why? You don't like it?"

"I like strawberries, of course. What I mean is, where did you get strawberries when it is, specifically, late March right now?"

"China." He said as I stare blankly at him. I shrugged it off instead of asking more questions.

"Where's Mom, though?"

"Well, she went to the market, for her to cook in the house." I should've done that.

I nod. "I'll go upstairs, Dad. Thanks for the strawberries." I grin cheerfully at him.

"Oh, you should. You stink, by the way. No problem, kiddo." He laughed at me as I glared at him. Blame my excitement, Dad.

I went upstairs to take a shower and changed into my "Gyobok" (Uniform in Korea) and applied some light make-up. I glanced to check the clock and it shows, 7:11 AM. Still early, I thought. I grabbed my backpack and went downstairs.

"Hey, Mom. Hey, Dad." I greeted the both of them. As I sat on the table to have breakfast.

"Hi sweetie." Mom greeted me back. And Dad acknowledge my presence by nodding.
