The Life I Led

As I lay in my hospital bed,
I remember the life I led,
from Paris to Rome, from Spain to Greece, in my cause to create peace.
I chose famine over fame, and trudged through the rain, I can ignore the pain as I remember the life I led.
I fed kids in Dubai, so they wouldn't die,
I ran through the deserts of Egypt, and sailed the seas in my beautiful ship,
I remember the life I led.
I dressed up in Paris, France, and shared a fairytale-like dance, as I met the love of my life, I became their ever faithful wife.
Many tears in this I have shed, as the colors of the world fade to black,
I remember the life I led.
