Stiles looked at his phone. Maybe he shouldn't have hung up like that. Scott sounded worried. He had already started to miss Scott just a bit. He hadn't really seen him the whole day and he wanted to thank him properly for his help but now he was whisked off to some faraway place.
"Dad!" Stiles exclaimed when his father entered the cold house that smelled of wet wood. "Dad, we need to talk."
Finally, after the 5 hour or so drive, after Stiles' silence, which was quite extraordinary, Sherrif Stilinsky sat him down and explained. "Stiles," he said kindly, "I'm sorry I brought you here with me so abruptly. I need you to understand that I did it for safety." He put his hand up before Stiles could talk. "Let me finish. I was appointed as head of this case. I don't want to go into details but it's not safe for you to be alone or wander off. We'll be handling this for the next couple of weeks, so I've talked to the principal to give you an extra week off, so you'll be getting an even longer break."
"Before you say anything, I have brought everything you need - electronics, books, food. Please just don't go off without telling me and please don't contact your friends too frequently. We need to keep a low profile. This is a dangerous case and I need you cooperate with me, son. Got it?"
Stiles just nodded miserably as he couldn't argue with his father. He wouldn't be able to see his best friend, or Isaac, or beautiful Lydia. Heck, he even missed Allison.
He retired to his room and stared at the ceiling till he was hungry.
He wasn't too hungry and the trip made him more tired than anything. He didn't get to say bye to his friends and his plan of winning Lydia over during the break wouldn't work now. It was only two weeks or so that he had to stay here and he decided to do it more for his father than his own safety. The last time he wandered off when his father told him to stay at home, Scott had gotten the wolf bite. He was almost about to die, but in the end it turned out to be good. Stiles blamed himself for getting Scott into the mess, and especially during full moon days, he blamed himself even more. It had already been around 6 months since the incident, but he still knew how difficult it was for Scott to control himself from doing something extreme. How would Scott cope while he was gone? He was always there for Scott during his turnings, but this time, he wouldn't be. And the next full moon was a week away. Stiles decided to call Scott.
*Once again, really sorry for taking too long! Too. Much. Work. ;___;. Anyway, hope you like this part! Please let me know what you think and thanks for reading!*
