chapter 02; Animal

Aiden's P.O.V

English 3, Algebra 2, Physics, and Art those are all the classes I have Athena for. She's not talking to me, like she's ‪not talking to anyone, don't get me wrong, she has all the guy checking her out but she doesn't acknowledge them.

She sits right across form mee with some punk girl that has an excessive amount of piercing everywhere. Athena is beautiful in every way but I wouldn't admit that because I'm not up to ruin my reputation, it took a lot to get here and to throw it all away for a girl.

My mom would always tell me "destroy what's destroying you" and that's what I'm planning to do. Athena is destroying me with her beauty, she's taking away my bad boy aura, I couldn't risk getting hurt that wasn't an option so I have to destroy it.

"Mr. Aiden, am I interrupting your train of thoughts?" Mrs. Salvatore asked , while writing an equation on the black board. Mrs. Salvatore is probably in her late 20's early 30's, she's a small and petite woman.

"Well of course!" I, sarcastically, answered not caring if she sents me to the office. Athena was too busy doing her own shit in her own little world and it somehow made more pissed off. Why is it so hard to get her attention?

I suddenly had the urge of telling her off or something to get her to look at me. I stood up making so much noise but she didn't even flinch, I glared at her but she didn't budge so I got my stuff and left the classroom.

Athena's P.O.V;

I could feel his glare, even though I wasn't looking at him. Aiden, the guy that I almost ran over in the morning and of course my neighbor. I wasn't being a bitch or nothing to him it's just that I know how guys like him are and I seriously don't need someone like him in my life right now.

I continue to look foward even though my body wanted to stare at him the whole day but I knew he was trouble something that I desperately needed to stay away from. Being the only one to provide for my siblings, made me realize I have to finish school first and then keep on working, that's why I didn't dare look back at him. Deep down I knew that I couldn't ignore him the whole time but I could try, right?

Aiden left the classroom and I knew it was because of me, I also knew that I had somehow pissed him off.

"Anyway, you're going to be working on this packet for the rest of the period and take it home if you don't finish" , the petite and young lady but she's really well respected. She went around passing the packets with a straight face, I got mine and immediately started working on it. Math is my favorite subject apart from English, I guess math helps me think more smoothly.

The last bell of the day rang, telling us that we're free to go home, you can imagine all of the students running like animals just to get out of the school. I walk towards my locker going to one building to the other, trying to get to my locker. Once I found it, I quickly opened it putting my backpack and other books that the school had given me.

I slammed the door of the locker shut, "What do you want?" I said through my clenched jaw turning around to see, a almost topless , Barbie human replica smirking at me. I hate girls like her, like wear something other than your little sister's clothes.

"Calm down!" she let out a high pitch laugh, "I just want to talk"

I gave her my famous smirk and she lightly took four steps to the back, there was a small crowd around us waiting for a fight to happen but I wasn't in the mood to fight.

"What if I don't want to talk with you because I honestly don't want to talk to you" I said and all that confidence that was dripping from her disappeared, she didn't know how to mask her emotions very well, it's very easy to get under her skin just like its very easy to get her in bed. *sips tea.*

I try to walk away but she stops me, digging her nails into my wrist which it makes me mad. Grabbing her hand ,that was in my wrist , I twisted making her wince in pain and pushing her into the lockers; "I said I don't want to talk to you". I look into her eyes and they held fear mixed with anger something that was caused by me, for some reason it made me happy.

I let her go, remembering that we weren't alone in the hall. She lets out a breath of relief and I smirk, I turned around to leave but something caught my eyes, at the far end of the hall Aiden and his friends were watching everything. I felt like if they knew why I was here but I knew it wasn't possible because no one knows at all.... right?

Walking to my bike and grabbing my helmet and putting it on, I threw my right leg to the other side of the bike but a voice stops me mid way. "Who are you, Athena Rose Carter?"

I knew that voice and who it belong to but I didn't want to fully believe it, I turned around and there he is, standing at the back of my bike blocking my way out. I took off my helmet and place it on the left handle.

"Who wants to know, Aiden Wesley Ryder?" I ask, hoping he would get the Hint that even though he hasn't fully introduce himself, I still know who he is.

He raised an eyebrow up and let out a deep chuckle, "I'm guessing you did some research" he says taking steps towards me and I don't move, I won't give him the pleasure of thinking I'm scare of him.

"I'm guessing YOU didn't !" I quoted him, he's expression when from a smugly look to a shock look then back to his smugly one. He isn't so smart or maybe he's making me think that so he can disarm me with all the hidden secrets I have.

"What game are you playing, Athena" he whispered, lowering himself to my ear so he can whisper to it. You see I'm very patient when I want to and when I need to be but right now I have someone else in my mind and it's not him.

"What game are you playing, Aiden?" I once again quoted him, whispering in his ear just like he had done to me.
With that being said, I quickly put my helmet on, got on my bike taking the break off I look into the rearview mirror and see Aiden leaning on a tree to my right.

I backed off and left as soon as I had a chance to. I have a feeling this won't be the last encounter I have with Aiden and his questions, he will do anything he can to take my emotions and secrets out of me giving them to the world to judge me but I couldn't let that happen......Ever.
