Once there was a handsome duke
Who had a daughter named Suke
She was a lovely thing despite her name
Her hair was a lovely golden mane
One day while walking down the road
She met up with an ugly toad
The toad jumped onto her dress
Making her scream and nothing less
The toad, startled hopped away
and we talk of her to this day
for her father disowned her
for the humiliation she caused the handsome sir
she fled to the English countryside
where she had to wear a dress made of hide
no longer did she own beautiful things
no silk or gold or diamond rings
but care she did not
for she had learned to use a pot
she learned to sew, bake and cook
for a young lad had her on his hook
they not long after tied the knot
and a little blue cottage they bought
never would she have thought on that fateful day
the joy and adventure the toad would bring
and all to the dukes loss who now had no heir
for her decendants who do not know
a beautiful palace awaits them there
