1 x First Meeting

"Great." I mumbled.

I made my way home with my clothes wet. Home is not that far from the beach where I was planning to kill myself.

I heaved a sigh. Maybe the world is telling me to continue living. It's my destiny.

I knocked the door three times before a little girl opened it.

"Amelia? Why are your clothes soaking wet? Did you play at the beach?" My little sister Anna questioned while staring at my clothes. Water is now dripping on the floor. Mom will be mad for sure.

"Mom isn't home yet Amelia, if she sees you like that she's going to explode like a volcano." Little Anna said with a giggle. I pat her head and gave her a smile.

"I'll go open the door at the back for you. Go there at the back." She ordered. I smiled. How can I thought of leaving this little girl behind? I'm so cruel.

I made my way to the back door, it's open, like Anna said. I looked around to find her but she's nowhere to be found.

"Anna? Where art thou?" I said with a laugh.

"Stop that Amelia! You're not Juliet! And I'm here at your room getting you a towel!" I made my way to our small bathroom and took a shower.

Anna hasn't met father since I was just a child when he died. So I tried my best to give her all the love I can give. So, I'm a crazy-rude sister for thinking to do suicide. If I died, who will support them? Who would take care of Anna.

I breathed a sigh. So, I should be thankful for that man who saved me from my attempted suicide.

"All I gave him was shouting and yelling. You good for nothing." I told myself.

After taking a bath I went to my room to change clothes. I looked up to see wha time is it. I still have thirty minutes before work.

"Anna! Is your sister here?" Mom yelled. She's here.

"Yes mom. She's in her room!" Anna answered.

"Amelia! Where have you been? You're up early and where did you go?" She knocked at my door before asking.

"I just did some errands mom." I said as an excuse and opened the door.

"We need to pay for electricity, water and rent Amelia." Mom blurted out.

"Yes mom, I'll make sure to pay all of those." I told her.

"Anna, I'm going to work now. Be a good girl." I told Anna and she made her way towards me and gave me a warm hug.

I kissed her on her cheek before leaving.

I took my bike from the backyard and made my way to downtown. Downtown isn't that far from our house.

I parked my bike near the coffee shop where I work. It isn't open yet. I greeted Mrs. Hemmings who owned this coffee shop.

"Good Morning Mrs. Hemmings!" I greeted her with a smile on my face.

"Good Morning Amelia!" She greeted back. I wore my uniform which is an apron. And turned the sigh on the door from close to open. Customers kept on coming, well Mrs. Hemmings coffee shop is well known around the downtown for its delicious coffee.

As I take orders from the customers I saw Jenny arrived and she kept on saying sorry to Mrs. Hemmings for she is late. She's always like that but we're very fortunate that Mrs. Hemmings is kindhearted.

Jenny changed clothes quickly and made her way to the customers and took their orders.

A guy in a blue hoodie is reading news at the corner. I go to him and asked his order. The moment he lift his face, I swallowed hard.

It's him. The guy who saved me.
