I woke up with a splitting headache. Where... where was the waiting room? The last thing I remembered was... the kindly-looking receptionist smiling at me. Sitting on the brown, crinkled leather sofa. Being led to the room next door. Seeing the splatters of blood on the floor.

No. This can't be.

A masked man holding a syringe leaned over me. I stared into his black eyes, so much like endless darkness. He stabbed the syringe into my arm, injecting radioactive green liquid that was now flowing through my blood.

Black spots danced across my vision, before everything faded to darkness.

I blinked awake, squinting up at the ceiling. Were those... specks of blood, on the cold metal panelling? My memories came rushing back to me and I gasped as I remembered what had happened to me.

I had to get out of here.

I struggled with my bonds, trying to break them. I heard the sound of metal tearing as I ripped one of my arms free.

No way. Why would they use metal that was so weak that I could break it easily? I clenched my fists, trying to work some feeling into my hands. My hand felt... different. Was it swollen because of what they did to me? I lifted it up to my face, only to start screaming.

What have I become?
