This rebuttal is provided by yours truly. I am not taking a side, I’m simply stating the holes. FYI, I do believe Dumbledore is Ron

Rebuttal:

The similarities in physical appearance proves nothing. Is James Potter a time traveling Harry with contacts on? I think not. Furthermore, perhaps Ron is a mutant. Maybe he does have disproportionate hands and Ron’s eyes could very well be brown or green. The scar is an interesting theory, but Ron was dragged by his leg, I don’t think that would include above his left knee. Although possible, to me, this just seems very unlikely.

Then there is the matter of the Bertie Bott’s Every Flavored Beans. Dumbledore would have had to be at least one hundred years old when he tried the vomit flavored one. I change a lot in a YEAR! don’t you think that after fifty, Dumbledore might look upon his younger self as being foolish and unknowledgeable, hence in his youth? I know I look at myself that way sometimes. I know that one hundred years old is pretty knowledgeable, but remember, we are looking at this from Dumbledore’s point of view, and he may very well consider one hundred a time in his youth.

The supposed foreshadowing with the dislike of maroon and Draco’s hint at living two lives as well as the purple robes could be completely coincidental and unrelated to Dumbledore.

By the way, I don’t believe in coincidences, but I’m putting everything down.

The socks bit raises a very good point, but can it be that Rowling is simply trying to enforce her message of socks being symbolic by having Dumbledore hold a pair of them?

This is all very true. What side are you on? Any rebuttals to the rebuttal? If they are good, I’ll post them.
