                  Not the Same

|Dark|

For the past few months we have been in the house, weird things have been happening.

Mark has been waking up sweating or groaning in pain. He's been complaining about his lymph nodes swelling and causing pain. Anytime I tell him to go to the hospital he sighs and says 'I'll go later.' But he never does.
"Mark, baby, please just go to the hospital." He sighed and groaned.
"I'm too tired," he groaned.

"And that's why you need to go. I've never seen you this out of it before, hell we haven't had sex for 2 weeks now. That's not like you."

He only rolled his eyes and kept on reading his book. Finally I snapped and took the book away from him and grabbed his chin and made him look at me.

"Mark, you are going to the doctor," I growled.

He nodded,"Ok, I'll go."

He went to take a quick shower and I got his insurance, ID and phone ready to go.

Finally after a good 30 minutes he came out dress led in his dinosour muscle shirt and a pair of khaki shorts, along with a pair of jogging shoes.

I followed him out of the door and he got into the passenger seat.

I started the car and he groaned in pain. I looked at him in concern, "Where does it hurt now?"

"Under my jaw," he answered.

"See this is why we're going," I nagged as I drove.

                           ∆

"Fischbach," the woman called his last name.

We both got up and I followed him into the room. The nurse told him to get on the examination table/bed thing. He slowly got on it wincing in pain.

"Now can you tell me what your concerns are?" She asked.

"N-noth---"

I cut off Mark, "I'll answer those for you."

"Are you family?" She said looking at me in confusion.

"Yes, I'm his husband."

"Ok, can you tell me what's going on?"

I nodded, "We moved into our new house and that's when these weird things started happening. He started waking up in the middle of the night, sometimes waking up in pain. And his lymph nodes have been bothering him. Plus he's been really really tired and weak."

She nodded as she wrote the things down.

"Ok, let me put these into the computer and Doctor Felix should be with you soon." I nodded and watched her leave.

"You were going to say 'nothing' weren't you?" I said in annoyance.

He just sighed and looked at the ground.
