The guilt that plagues me of sleep and steals my happiness
is not the reason for my apologies.
Observing you drift apart from life
is far more detrimental than mine.
You have life.
I tried to break off a piece of yours to cure my hungry soul.
The very idea that I am saying this after years of silence
Is why I am sincerely and regretfully sorry
