After Benjamin's death Klara spent a couple of years in his library, among his antique books, trying to feel close to her father, trying to get to know his life to which she was always an outsider. During those years she came across many works, woks of him and maybe his father before. Some books looked really old but they were preserved. It was all written in some language undiscovered by her. She could never understand or comprehend these books, except the diagrams. They were quite elaborate, self speaking indeed. Among all these diagrams was one of a fandom, a circular fandom on fire, with two bare, twin men at the center, one choking away to the death and other laughing his way into life.

Back then it was just some historic art work to her, something believers would write, and something churches would use to scare the people into abstaining sins. But today she more than just understood them, she had witnessed it, she had seen a life born out of the flames. Seeing something that unnatural she was forced into a delirium, a state of mind that made her question the sort of life her father lived, it made her question all the things she saw in those books and wonder about all those times her father would lock himself inside the room for days.

With her eyes wet with tears she was lingering among the thoughts of her father, when the red haired woman carrying some old books entered the room. She introduced herself, "its Annabel Drake, you are Klara Ries, right?" Klara was agitated and afraid of her, she gathered herself against the wall. Annabel moving forward towards her bed kept the books down in front of her, ''are these the books you were thinking about?" Klara astonishingly looked straight towards them, Annabel noticed it, "Take them, they are your fathers" She was polite and had a calmness and an innocence in her voice just like any other teenage girl. Watching how scared Klara was she thought it to be best if she leaves the room.

It was pretty clear to her by now, they all knew her father. And the note along with the books, "your father is safe" was more than assuring for her. She knew about this blood magic from stories, legends and of course her father's journals. Wishing for her father she opened the books, those old pages and their smell again reminded her of Benjamin's room.

Exiting from Klara's room Annabel went straight to Roman. He was outside the house, sitting under the tree. She was angry with him for not being with Klara, "She is terrified, you should be with her, you are the only one she can trust" practically scolding him as she went towards him. Shaking his head away from the talk he stood up and looked right at her, deep into her eyes. Anger was right on his face and his eyes were...the blue had vanished, his eyes were bloodshed red. Looking at those eyes Annabel halted her pace and took a few steps back. Her face was covered with fear, fear of what came with those red eyes.
