I was in the middle of lunch with my best friend, Sierra when my phone started ringing from my purse. I dig into my purse and pull out my IPhone, it was Justin's and I's sons school. "Hold on a sec" I say and get up from the table and walk outside, "hello?" I question into the phone "hi is this Mrs. Bieber?" The lady asks "yes this is she" "this is principle wolf, at Grey middle school, I'm here with Landon Bieber and he just got a referral" "a referral?" I question "for what?" "He got a referral for talking back to the teacher,by using a whole bunch of cuss words" "are you serious? Can I talk to him please?" I ask again, "of course". After a few minutes "hey mom" he sounds so nervous, "why?" I ask him "wait no you'll tell me and your father when you get home from school, for now give the Mr. Wolf your phone and go back to class,hand the phone to Mr.Wolf" I say strictly.
"Yes?" He answers "please make Landon give you his phone? We will talk about this with his father when he gets home" "okay that can happen" "okay,thank you for calling me" "no problem,Mrs.Bieber" "okay ,bye" "bye". I click the red button on my iPhone and run a hand through my straightened hair, and walk inside. "Hey I'm have to go, Landon just got a referral at school" "oh my god really?" She gasps "yeah" I sigh "I'm gone call justin and tell him and stuff" "okay I'll get your bill, but are you going to the studio?" "Maybe or I might just call him" "okay good luck tonight and don't let that steam come out of your ears" she chuckles "I'll try not to haha" I laugh,I grab my stuff and head to my car after saying thank you to her.
I run hand through my hair once more before deciding just to call Justin. "Hey baby" he answers happily, "hi" I try to sound happy but he knows me too well. "What's wrong?" He has sadness trailing through his voice, "Landon got a referral today" "what the fuck? Why?" He asks now sounding pissed, "I guess he was talking back to the teacher, while using cuss words" "are you serious? This is like the 3rd one in 2 months" "I know" I say and look out the window "I told him that we'll talk about it with you when he got home from school and you got home from the studio" "okay, baby i know your stressed and this was the only day you had off in the last month,so go get your nails done and get yourself a Starbucks okay?" "Are you busy?" "Not really,just writing lyrics,why?" "Can you come with me? I want to be with you" I say to him "of course baby, get the Starbucks and I'll meet you at the nail place, so I can close up the studio and stuff" "okay, I love you" "I love you too babe, bye" "bye" I hang up and head to Starbucks.
*Skip Nail Place*
Once we both get home. We sit Landon down on the couch and we send our daughter, Skylynn, to her room. "Why Landon?" I ask him he shrugs,as he looks at the floor, "is there something wrong?" I ask him again "cause you've been acting out a lot lately" he shakes his head. "God damnit Landon, why did you do this again?" Justin fires at him "and don't you dare shrug your shoulders" Justin points at him " I don't know dad,the teacher got on my nerves" "that doesn't mean you have to start cussing at them Landon" Justin pauses "is there something wrong that we have done? Because if there is you need to tell us" "no,you guys haven't done anything" Landon gets really quiet when he's in trouble. "But just why so many referrals Landon? You get everything you want, your mother does everything for you to keep you happy" he pauses again. "Do you even know how stressed your mother is?" He asks Landon "today was her only day off for the past month or so and she does everything around this house. She does laundry,cooks,cleans,feeds the dogs,deals with bills,and top of that taking care of this family and making sure everyone is happy before she makes herself happy,and then she has to get another call like this on her day off of work". "What do you have to say Landon?" Justin asks him "I'm sorry mom" "it's okay,just don't get anymore referrals okay?" I say to him "okay" he nods. "Your grounded, just so you know,for 3 weeks, no friends,no video games,no tv,and no phone. You can do all of the chores,and your sisters chores" Justin says to him he just nods "do you have any questions?" He ask him "are you guys mad at me?" He ask us and looks between me and Justin, I take over this one, "we're not mad Landon,you can never make is mad, we're just disappointed in you,I expected better from you" I pause for a second "I just want you to prove that we can trust you" he nods and stands up "family hug?" He suggests Justin and I stand up with a smile and justin calls down Skylynn and we have a family hug and cook dinner all together.
*Everyones in bed*
"I hope our talk sunk in" I say to justin as we lay in bed beside each other. "Me too" he sighs, he kisses my forhead "thank you for saying all that stuff about me I'm that talk tho " "you deserve it,you do so much for this family" he whisper and hugs me,and I wrap my arms around his waist. "Goodnight" I say as we separate, "goodnight" he kisses my lips and we fall asleep.
