beep beep beep

i curled my hand into a fist and bashed down onto the alarm clock , or what i thought was the alarm clock. this alarm clock was something boney and hollow sounding.

"Ow, what the hell Grayson?" i heard a familiar voice groan in pain. i couldn't see anything as it was dark and i had just woken up. i rubbed my eyes and blinked a few times. didn't work, still couldn't see. i squinted and blinked and bingo, it helped.

oh, it's Ethan.

"What're you doing in my bed?" i sigh , i rip the comforter away from him , giving me more blanket to snuggle up with.

"I had a scary dream."

"Ethan, you're 17, grow up. "

"Shut up , let me go back to sleep." he snatches the comforter back from me, leaving me frigid and bare. the wintry air brushes across my body, stimulating my senses and causing me to stay awake. i open my eyes and look up and over to the clock, reading 6:00 am. i'll just start getting ready i guess, i can't go back to sleep anyways, i thought to myself. and with that, i rolled out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom, closing the door behind me.

school is boring , what's the point? wake up before the sun rises just to be enveloped by drama more than education itself? school will never make sense to me. i know the teachers don't want to be here either so why even bother showing up?

i gaze out of the window in english class , how pretty. watching the sun rise as it warms the air that surrounds the globe. the orangey yellow glow radiates throughout the atmosphere bringing that safe and secure sense that everything is going to be alright. the sunlight peaks its way through every nook and cranny through the building , warming my heart up;  meanwhile the window tilts opening out, filling the room with the sound of  birds cooing and their wings fluttering as the branches clap together and the leaves rustle. i get up and out of my desk to peek outside. i watch as the birds chatter. soon enough, the bird breaks away from the branch setting off elsewhere.

"Dolan, what are you doing our of your seat?" ugh, teachers teachers teachers.

i roll my eyes and turn around to see the teacher giving me a death stare. others just look at me and and some chuckle. i look back toward the teacher.

"I was obviously looking out the window, observing mother nature. What are you doing out of your seat?" i respond back, why is everything i say so mean and cold.

whoopsies

her face turns red , completely washed with red.

"Just get back to your seat please, i don't have time for an argument." she complains and shakes her head.

and i do as i am told. i just take one last look out of the window and return back to my seat. after i sit down, she resumes going through her lesson.

i don't have time to listen to her talk, anyways.

the bell rings for lunch. desks shuffle all around the room as the teacher tries to spit out whatever homework is due tomorrow. no one listens. i sigh and then get up out of my seat , proceeding down the stairs and into the lunch room.

oh how much fun lunch is. everyone gossips, spread rumors, or just talk shit about other people, the whole entire lunch period. they do more talking then they do eating. isn't that what lunch is for? anyways, i glance from table to table to try to find an empty seat that i would be able to fit in in.
