first sight

Casually, Lauranne walks down the crowded halls of Box Elder Middle with her head down and her face covered and goes to second period. As she walks in, she bumps into Jarik, a straight A student, "Oh, Hi Lauranne!"
Lauranne hyperventalates, "Uh-...Hi J-..Jarik.." Jarik smiles and walks away. Lauranne turns around and watches as the love of her life walks away from her. At the end of school, Karl comes over, "So..did you talk to Jarik today?" Karl says. "Briefly" Lauranne replies.
"Briefly? As in?"
"Well, he said hi"
"That's a start!"
"I guess"
"Well gotta go! Text me!"
"Alright"
Lauranne walks home.
"Lauranne wait up!" Jarik says
"Oh, hey Jarik"
"What you doing?"
"Walking home"
"Niiiice"
"I guess"
"Soo...I heard you liked me"
Lauranne has a panic attack
"From who!"
"Karl"
"Oooo, I'm gonna kill her"
"No, it's fine, really, don't worry...cause you know...I kinda like you too :)"
Jarik leans in....

Lauranne wakes up from her dream
"Ah shit! It wasn't real, damn it.."
"Lauranne, time for school!!" Says Cameron
"Ugh"
Lauranne walks over to her closet and grabs a black shirt and black pants and brushes her hair.
She grabs her skateboard and rides to school.
"Ugh, this shithole again"
She walks in with her head low
"Lauranne!" Karl says
"Oh hey, wanna hear the dream I had"
"Uh, nah, I don't want to hear all the gross details"
"Oh, okay"
"Catch you later!"
"Bye"
Lauranne walks to 1st period.

Part two:

Lauranne wakes up from one of her weird dreams again.
She grabs her phone and goes to contacts.
"Jarik"

"Hey, can you text today?" Lauranne types

Jarik replies

"Yeah!"

"Okay, I have something to tell you, it's been bugging me.."

"Okay"

Lauranne pauses and thinks to herself, "fuck that shit, I ain't talking him i like him, he'll never talk to me again!"

Lauranne blankly types

"I hate school"

In her head: "Omg, you dumbass"

"Oh, it's not all that bad, are you going to that dumb dance?"

"Uh, I might"

"Oh, cause I was wondering if you wanted to go, like as friends"

Lauranne pauses and has a heart attack.
"Yes!! Of course!"

"Okay, I will pick you up tomorrow at 7"

"Okay sounds good"

Lauranne hyperventalates and walks to her closet to see what she needs to wear. She sees a pretty Pink dress.
"Hell no"
She keeps looking.
Eventually, she sees a long Gray dress.
"Well, this works"
She picks out some Black flats.

Lauranne wakes up.
"Its the day of the dance" She thinks to herself.
She goes to school and tells all her friends.

"What!!" Karl yells in excitement
"Jauranne is real!! I knew it!!"

"Its just as friends" Lauranne says
"So!! You need to look glowing tonight!"
Lauranne smiles.

It's the end of school. Lauranne runs home.
She puts the dress on and does her hair up in a high ponytail and puts a sparkly pin in it. She does light makeup.
"I'm ready..I can't believe I'm going with the love of my life.."

There's a knock on the door..
"Oh god oh god oh god oh god"
"Coming!!"
She answers the door, Jarik is in a Black tuxedo and his hair is slicked back.
"Wow...you look.....good" Jarik says
"You do too"
"Shall we?"
They walk to the dance.
When they get there, music is playing and it's dark. They go to the dance floor and slow dance.
"Lauranne!! You look BEAUTIFUL!" Karl says
"Thank you, I guess"
"Jarik is one lucky boy ;)"
Lauranne laughs.

It's the end of the dance.
Jarik and Lauranne walk outside.
"I-...I had fun" Jarik says
"I did too"
"I got to be honest, you look Beautiful"
Lauranne lights up and her face goes Red, she doesn't know if she's dreaming or if it's real.
"Thank you..."
Jarik smiles
"You're welcome...I actually asked you to go with me because well...I like you"
Laurannes eyes widen
"You do?"
"Yes"
"I-...I like you too..."
Jarik smiles and stares at Lauranne

"I can't stop looking at you.."
Lauranne blushes

Jarik leans in..
They press their lips together under the stars as the music in the school plays in the distance.
