CHAPTER TWELVE

Luke's POV
I got up from bed and headed downstairs, I saw Nixie sitting on the couch she had black skinny jeans on, a grey jumper and some black lace-up chunky heeled boots, her hair was in a high ponytail with aside fringe and a couple of pieces hanging out and her eyes were done with black eyeliner on the top lid and mascara and she had her red lipstick on too, I walked and sat beside her, she looked at me and smiled, I lent in and kissed her lips quickly, I pulled out my phone and pulled up the camera I wanted a picture of her, she never lets me take a photo of her, I lifted my phone up and straight away she covered her face with her hands

"Oh please I want one photo," I said and pouted, she looked at me through her fingers and slowly took them away from her face, I smiled which made her smile I quickly snapped a photo of her

"Can I post this to twitter?" I asked her, she crossed her legs and put them over mine

"Why?" She asked typing away on her phone

"Because then everybody will know you're, my girl," I said, she looked at me from her phone

"Really your girl?" She asked cheekily smirking at me and leaning forward

"Yeah my girl," I said, she kissed my cheek

"Your cute and yes you can," she said going back to her phone, I went on my twitter app

I posted it with the picture I took and all the comments were good about us, I'm happy that I told everyone as well

"Luke" I heard her voice, I looked at her

"Today's my first chemo and I wanted to know if you'd take me to the hospital and sit with me I mean you don't have to but it's because apparently, I'll be sick an-" she said but I stopped her

"Babe I'll stay with you," I said, she smiled slightly, I kissed her cheek and she stood up and held her hands out, I grabbed her hands and she pulled me up

"I guess we better go," she said, I could tell she was scared, I grabbed her hand and pulled her to the car.

We got to the hospital and walked in hand in hand, when she signed in they took her to a private room with a couple of recliners next to each other, Nixie sat in one and the nurse started to set up all the things she need, I saw her look away when they started to put the needle in her arm, I held her other hand

"Right this chemo it's your first so you'll feel very sick you might even vomit and after you go home you'll need to relax okay," the nurse said to Nixie, Nixie nodded and the nurse walked out.
It's been half an hour and Nixie is as pale as a ghost I've been talking to her to try and keep her mind of it some times it has worked she's cried once because of how sick it made her feel and I could do nothing to help her

"Luke, can you pass the vomit bucket?" Nixie asked, I quickly grabbed it and she straight away vomited in it, which made her cry again, I took the bucket away and picked her up and sat her on my lap sideways were she cuddled into me, she calmed down and stopped crying

"Thanks for being here Luke," she said in a croaky voice

"Of course I will be here your my girl," I said kissing her forehead, I heard the door and saw the nurse walk in

"Hey sweetheart I'm here to take the needle out now," she said Nixie held her arm out and the nurse fixed her arm up, we slowly walked out and headed home. We walked in and the boys and mum were in the lounge, we sat down straight away Nixie cuddled into me, mum walked over

"You okay Nixie?" Mum asked her, Nixie lifted her head up

"Not really that was horrible," she said and stood up

"Let's have a cup of tea," mum said and they walked to the kitchen

"What was it like?" James asked

"Horrible she cried twice and vomited and she was so pale I couldn't do anything I felt helpless," I said looking up at the ceiling

"At least you were there," Beau said

"He does make a point," Jai said agreeing with him

"Yeah better you were there than leaving her to do it herself," Daniel said, I nodded

"I know it's just I wish I could have helped her," I said

"You did" I heard her, I turned to look at her

"Most guys would run off but you stayed even though we had only been dating for a short while you got me to move in because you didn't want me to be alone and you sat with me through that chemotherapy so yes you did help you've helped me a lot Luke and that's what I love about you" she said smiling I smiled back at her

"I love you ya big idiot," she said giggling

"Hey," I said which made her laugh more, I pulled her down on my lap

"I love you," she said

"I love you too," I said chuckling.
