As a blood-chilling scream tears through the silent night, I sit up immediately looking at Annabelle's bed. It's empty. I freeze, then hear another scream.
I run out of our room and onto the top step of the stairs. Downstairs I can see three, black uniformed men restraining my sister. My heart stops in fear for her as I take in the scene below me.
My sister is hysterically pleading for mercy while my mother sobs desperately. My father is arguing with another man, probably the leader. As I watch, I can hear more of what they say. "Please, leave her here. She hasn't done anything wrong. Just let her talk to us first" my father begs. "No sir, she is under arrest for illegal love-making. You know that my job is to take people away for that and I cannot change it for you." The man replies stonily. My heart stops as Annabelle is yanked out onto the streets. I wail in distress as I leap down the stairs. "NO PLEASE NO, LET HER STAY,LET HER STAY" I scream as I watch the door be thrown shut behind her.
That was the last time I saw my sister. That was four years ago. That was when I learned an important lesson. 'Love is just an illusion. Nobody loves. Its just a lie'
